Answer capsule

The November 2026 Motorcycle Insurance benchmark compares 10 companies across 75 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. State Farm, USAA share the lead with 60 recommendations each (80.00% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 62 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them, so it measures recorded endorsement rather than visibility alone. State Farm and USAA share first place because their recommendation counts are equal; a tie is not a unique winner.

Mentions, recommendations and placements answer different questions. A company can appear often yet be recommended rarely, and shortlist or first-place placements are subsets of recommendations rather than extra wins.

62 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 253, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every included answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but recommendation coverage was narrower: most answers recommended at least one tracked company, while a smaller group recommended none. Because one answer can name several companies, company-level totals exceed the number of answers.

These overlapping counts describe the reviewed answers, not market share or overall dominance. Answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

State Farm ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 75 (100.00%); recommendations: 60 (80.00%). Top 3 placements: 36 (48.00%); first-place placements: 18 (24.00%).

Wording about the company: 60 positive, 15 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 80.0%. The net framing score was 0.80 (defined in Methodology).

15 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 60.00% were Top 3 and 30.00% were first-place.

USAA ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 75 (100.00%); recommendations: 60 (80.00%). Top 3 placements: 43 (57.33%); first-place placements: 20 (26.67%).

Wording about the company: 61 positive, 14 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 80.0%. The net framing score was 0.81 (defined in Methodology).

15 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 71.67% were Top 3 and 33.33% were first-place.

State Farm and USAA each appeared in every included answer and were recommended in most of them, leaving a minority of mentions without a recorded recommendation. Their equal recommendation counts produce the shared first place.

Mention presence is not endorsement. A company named in an answer has only appeared; a recommendation requires affirmative wording. The gap between the two is the space where framing and placement differ.

Placement describes where a recommended company sat within an answer's ordering. Shortlist placements are a subset of recommendations, and first-place placements are a subset of shortlist placements, so these counts should not be added together.

USAA recorded more shortlist and first-place placements than State Farm despite equal recommendation counts, showing that equal endorsement totals can still differ in ordering. Placement reflects answer position, not customer conversion.

Framing classifies the wording used about a company in the selected answers. Positive wording dominates for the leading companies, while neutral wording is common for mid-table names and negative wording is rare overall.

Framing is not customer sentiment or a measure of company quality. Neutral or positive wording does not establish why a recommendation was or was not recorded, and the classification describes only the answers reviewed.

State Farm

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about State Farm mentions, recommendations and placement?

State Farm ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 75 (100.00%); recommendations: 60 (80.00%). Top 3 placements: 36 (48.00%); first-place placements: 18 (24.00%).

Wording about the company: 60 positive, 15 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 80.0%. The net framing score was 0.80 (defined in Methodology).

15 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 60.00% were Top 3 and 30.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, State Farm's mention count fell from 154 to 75, while its recommendation count fell from 119 to 60. The recommendation rate was 75.32% and 80.00% respectively.

State Farm shares the top recommendation count and appeared in every included answer, with most mentions also carrying a recommendation. Its placements are frequent but proportionally fewer than USAA's, so equal endorsement totals hide a difference in ordering.

Wording was positive or neutral, never negative. The month-over-month comparison shows lower counts and a higher recommendation rate than October, but the samples differ and the change's cause is not established.

USAA

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about USAA mentions, recommendations and placement?

USAA ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 75 (100.00%); recommendations: 60 (80.00%). Top 3 placements: 43 (57.33%); first-place placements: 20 (26.67%).

Wording about the company: 61 positive, 14 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 80.0%. The net framing score was 0.81 (defined in Methodology).

15 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 71.67% were Top 3 and 33.33% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, USAA's mention count fell from 155 to 75, while its recommendation count fell from 118 to 60. The recommendation rate was 74.68% and 80.00% respectively.

USAA shares first place on recommendation count and matched State Farm's full mention coverage. Its distinctive feature is placement: a larger share of its recommendations landed in the shortlist and first position than State Farm's, giving it stronger ordering within answers.

Framing was overwhelmingly positive with no negative mentions. Counts fell from October while the recommendation rate rose, a comparison limited by differing monthly samples.

Progressive

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Progressive mentions, recommendations and placement?

Progressive ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 74 (98.67%); recommendations: 42 (56.00%). Top 3 placements: 18 (24.00%); first-place placements: 2 (2.67%).

Wording about the company: 42 positive, 30 neutral, 2 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 56.8%. The net framing score was 0.54 (defined in Methodology).

32 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 42.86% were Top 3 and 4.76% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Progressive's mention count fell from 154 to 74, while its recommendation count fell from 106 to 42. The recommendation rate was 67.09% and 56.00% respectively.

Progressive was mentioned in nearly every answer but recommended in only a little over half, leaving many appearances without endorsement. Among its recommendations, shortlist placements were common but first-place placements were rare.

Wording skewed positive with some neutral and a few negative mentions. Both counts and the recommendation rate were lower than October's, though the separate samples prevent attributing the shift to any cause.

Allstate

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Allstate mentions, recommendations and placement?

Allstate ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 73 (97.33%); recommendations: 34 (45.33%). Top 3 placements: 7 (9.33%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 34 positive, 37 neutral, 2 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 46.6%. The net framing score was 0.44 (defined in Methodology).

39 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 20.59% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Allstate's mention count fell from 153 to 73, while its recommendation count fell from 101 to 34. The recommendation rate was 63.92% and 45.33% respectively.

Allstate appeared in almost every answer yet was recommended in fewer than half, and it recorded no first-place placements at all. Its shortlist placements were limited, so its recommendations rarely sat near the top of an answer.

Neutral wording was more common than positive for Allstate, with a couple of negative mentions. Counts and rate fell from October, a recorded comparison whose cause the differing samples do not explain.

GEICO RV Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about GEICO RV Insurance mentions, recommendations and placement?

GEICO RV Insurance ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 42 (56.00%); recommendations: 28 (37.33%). Top 3 placements: 25 (33.33%); first-place placements: 1 (1.33%).

Wording about the company: 28 positive, 14 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 66.7%. The net framing score was 0.67 (defined in Methodology).

14 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 89.29% were Top 3 and 3.57% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, GEICO RV Insurance's mention count rose from 0 to 42, while its recommendation count rose from 0 to 28. The recommendation rate was 0.00% and 37.33% respectively.

GEICO RV Insurance stands out for reach rather than volume: it appeared in roughly half the answers but was recommended in most of those appearances, and the large majority of its recommendations were shortlist placements.

This is a sparse-base profile, so the strong recommendation-to-mention ratio should be read with caution. It recorded no mentions in October and a full set in November, a change the separate samples do not explain.

Nationwide

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Nationwide mentions, recommendations and placement?

Nationwide ranks 6 by recommendation count. Mentions: 67 (89.33%); recommendations: 25 (33.33%). Top 3 placements: 4 (5.33%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 25 positive, 42 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 37.3%. The net framing score was 0.37 (defined in Methodology).

42 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 16.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Nationwide's mention count fell from 119 to 67, while its recommendation count fell from 74 to 25. The recommendation rate was 46.84% and 33.33% respectively.

Nationwide was mentioned in most answers but recommended in only about a third, the widest gap between appearance and endorsement among the higher-volume companies. Its shortlist placements were few and it recorded no first-place placements.

Neutral wording outnumbered positive mentions. Counts and the recommendation rate were lower than October's, a comparison across differing samples that does not establish why.

Dairyland Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Dairyland Insurance mentions, recommendations and placement?

Dairyland Insurance ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 3 (4.00%); recommendations: 1 (1.33%). Top 3 placements: 1 (1.33%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 1 positive, 2 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 33.3%. The net framing score was 0.33 (defined in Methodology).

2 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 100.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Dairyland Insurance's mention count fell from 6 to 3, while its recommendation count fell from 4 to 1. The recommendation rate was 2.53% and 1.33% respectively.

Dairyland Insurance recorded a small number of mentions and a single recommendation, placing it near the bottom of the table. Its one recommendation was a shortlist placement, with no first position.

With such a sparse base, the recommendation-to-mention ratio is fragile and should not be read as a stable tendency. Counts were slightly lower than October's, but the samples differ and no cause is inferred.

Foremost Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Foremost Insurance mentions, recommendations and placement?

Foremost Insurance ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 2 (2.67%); recommendations: 1 (1.33%). Top 3 placements: 1 (1.33%); first-place placements: 1 (1.33%).

Wording about the company: 1 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 50.0%. The net framing score was 0.50 (defined in Methodology).

1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 100.00% were Top 3 and 100.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Foremost Insurance's mention count fell from 4 to 2, while its recommendation count fell from 2 to 1. The recommendation rate was 1.27% and 1.33% respectively.

Foremost Insurance recorded very few mentions and one recommendation, which happened to sit in first place. That single first-place result is a subset of its one shortlist placement, not an additional win.

Given the tiny base, the ratio and placement figures are highly sensitive and should be treated as descriptive only. Counts were marginally lower than October's across separate samples.

Harley-Davidson Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

Harley-Davidson Insurance ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 1 (1.33%); recommendations: 1 (1.33%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 1 positive, 0 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 100.0%. The net framing score was 1.00 (defined in Methodology).

0 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 0.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Harley-Davidson Insurance's mention count fell from 5 to 1, while its recommendation count fell from 5 to 1. The recommendation rate was 3.16% and 1.33% respectively.

Harley-Davidson Insurance recorded a single mention that also carried a recommendation, with positive wording and no negative mentions. Despite that endorsement, it recorded no shortlist or first-place placements.

A single observation makes the full recommendation-to-mention ratio uninformative as a tendency. Its count was lower than October's, but the samples differ and no cause is inferred.

Markel

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Markel mentions, recommendations and placement?

Markel ranks 7 by recommendation count.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Markel's mention count fell from 2 to 1, while its recommendation count fell from 2 to 1. The recommendation rate was 1.27% and 1.33% respectively.

Markel recorded one mention that also carried a recommendation, framed positively with no negative wording, yet it received no shortlist or first-place placements. Endorsement without placement is a valid recorded outcome.

With only one observation, the ratio should not be generalized. Its count was slightly lower than October's, a comparison across separate samples that does not establish why.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly snapshots come from separate selected answer samples, so counts, rates and ranks are not directly comparable across months. A lower count does not by itself show lost standing, and a higher rate does not demonstrate improvement.

The table shows how recorded results moved between September, October and November; it does not establish why they moved. Rank changes should be read alongside the differing sample sizes rather than as evidence of stability.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results separate four questions that are easy to conflate. Reach asks whether a company appeared at all; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where that endorsement sat; framing asks how the company was described. Each uses a different denominator and none substitutes for another.

The leading pair illustrates the distinction: equal recommendation counts can still differ in placement, and full mention coverage does not guarantee endorsement in every answer. Sparse profiles show why small bases make ratios fragile. These are descriptions of the reviewed AI answers, not customer sentiment, sales or company quality.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. August 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

Coverage is partial: usable observations came from all planned question categories, and findings apply only to the available answer set. The reporting month labels the period, but exact collection dates were not verified.

Each company is counted at most once per answer, and a recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Top 3 and first-place results sit inside recommendations rather than beside them. The recommendation-to-mention ratio and net framing describe answer wording, not customers, conversion or company quality. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without explaining it.
