Answer capsule

The November 2026 Landlord Insurance benchmark compares 10 companies across 85 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. State Farm, USAA share the lead with 48 recommendations each (56.47% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 51 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them. That count answers a narrower question than reach: a company can appear often yet be endorsed less often, so mention totals and recommendation totals should be read side by side rather than merged.

Ties are genuine equal recommendation counts, not a hidden ordering. State Farm and USAA share the top position on that measure while differing in placement and framing. Placement figures sit inside recommendations, so they refine where endorsements landed rather than adding separate wins.

51 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 284, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every included answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but a smaller share recommended one. Because a single answer can endorse several companies, company-level recommendation totals exceed the number of answers carrying any tracked recommendation; summing company counts would double-count answers.

Coverage therefore describes how often the tracked set appeared in the reviewed answers, not market share or dominance. Answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison, so absence here is not evidence that no recommendation occurred.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

State Farm ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 83 (97.65%); recommendations: 48 (56.47%). Top 3 placements: 40 (47.06%); first-place placements: 23 (27.06%).

Wording about the company: 48 positive, 34 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 57.8%. The net framing score was 0.57 (defined in Methodology).

35 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 83.33% were Top 3 and 47.92% were first-place.

USAA ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 80 (94.12%); recommendations: 48 (56.47%). Top 3 placements: 19 (22.35%); first-place placements: 8 (9.41%).

Wording about the company: 48 positive, 32 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 60.0%. The net framing score was 0.60 (defined in Methodology).

32 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 39.58% were Top 3 and 16.67% were first-place.

Mention measures appearance; recommendation measures affirmative endorsement. State Farm and USAA tie on recommendation count, yet their mention totals and placement patterns differ, showing that reach and endorsement are distinct readings of the same answers.

A high mention count with a lower recommendation count means many answers named the company without endorsing it. The recommendation-to-mention ratio summarizes that gap within the recorded answers only. It is not a conversion rate, and the tie at the top is an equal count, not a shared or unique victory.

Top-three and first-place results are nested within recommendations: a first-place result is also a shortlist result, and both are subsets of endorsements. They should not be added to recommendation counts or compared as if they shared a different denominator.

Placement describes where an endorsed company sat in the answer's ordering, not how often customers chose it. Companies with many recommendations but few first-place results were endorsed affirmatively yet rarely placed at the front of the recorded answers.

Framing classifies the wording used about a company in the selected answers: positive, neutral or negative. It is not customer sentiment, reputation or a judgment of company quality, and neutral wording is common across most profiles here.

Positive framing can accompany a mention that carries no recommendation, so wording and endorsement answer different questions. The net framing score condenses positive minus negative wording on a bounded scale; it does not explain why any recommendation was or was not recorded.

Company results in detail

State Farm

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about State Farm mentions, recommendations and placement?

State Farm ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 83 (97.65%); recommendations: 48 (56.47%). Top 3 placements: 40 (47.06%); first-place placements: 23 (27.06%).

Wording about the company: 48 positive, 34 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 57.8%. The net framing score was 0.57 (defined in Methodology).

35 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 83.33% were Top 3 and 47.92% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, State Farm's mention count fell from 175 to 83, while its recommendation count fell from 125 to 48. The recommendation rate was 66.14% and 56.47% respectively.

State Farm shares the top recommendation count and appears in nearly every included answer, giving it the broadest reach in this sample. Its endorsements frequently land near the front of the ordering, with a large share of recommendations placed first.

Wording is mostly positive with little negative framing. The prior-month comparison shows lower mention and recommendation counts alongside a lower recommendation rate; the samples differ, so the change is recorded without an explanation.

USAA

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about USAA mentions, recommendations and placement?

USAA ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 80 (94.12%); recommendations: 48 (56.47%). Top 3 placements: 19 (22.35%); first-place placements: 8 (9.41%).

Wording about the company: 48 positive, 32 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 60.0%. The net framing score was 0.60 (defined in Methodology).

32 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 39.58% were Top 3 and 16.67% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, USAA's mention count fell from 164 to 80, while its recommendation count fell from 116 to 48. The recommendation rate was 61.38% and 56.47% respectively.

USAA ties for the highest recommendation count while appearing in slightly fewer answers than its co-leader. Its endorsements are affirmative but comparatively rarely placed at the front, so its shortlist and first-place results are modest relative to its recommendation total.

Framing is positive or neutral with no negative mentions recorded. The prior-month comparison shows lower counts and a slightly lower recommendation rate; because the monthly samples differ, that shift is reported rather than explained.

Travelers

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Travelers mentions, recommendations and placement?

Travelers ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 74 (87.06%); recommendations: 44 (51.76%). Top 3 placements: 10 (11.76%); first-place placements: 2 (2.35%).

Wording about the company: 44 positive, 30 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 59.5%. The net framing score was 0.59 (defined in Methodology).

30 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 22.73% were Top 3 and 4.55% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Travelers' mention count fell from 159 to 74, while its recommendation count fell from 114 to 44. The recommendation rate was 60.32% and 51.76% respectively.

Travelers holds a mid-leaderboard recommendation count with strong answer reach. Its endorsements are affirmative, but relatively few are placed on the shortlist and very few first, so its placement profile is thinner than its recommendation total might suggest.

Wording is positive or neutral with no negative mentions. The prior-month comparison records lower counts and a lower recommendation rate; the differing samples mean the movement cannot be attributed to any cause.

Allstate

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Allstate mentions, recommendations and placement?

Allstate ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 81 (95.29%); recommendations: 39 (45.88%). Top 3 placements: 13 (15.29%); first-place placements: 3 (3.53%).

Wording about the company: 39 positive, 41 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 48.1%. The net framing score was 0.47 (defined in Methodology).

42 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 33.33% were Top 3 and 7.69% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Allstate's mention count fell from 175 to 81, while its recommendation count fell from 116 to 39. The recommendation rate was 61.38% and 45.88% respectively.

Allstate appears in nearly every included answer, yet its recommendation count places it fourth. Many mentions carry no affirmative endorsement, so its presence in answers is broader than the set of answers that recommend it.

Wording is mostly positive or neutral, with a single negative mention. Shortlist and first-place placements are a smaller subset of its recommendations. The prior month recorded higher counts and a higher recommendation rate; because the samples differ, that comparison is a recorded change, not a demonstrated decline in standing.

Nationwide

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Nationwide mentions, recommendations and placement?

Nationwide ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 73 (85.88%); recommendations: 29 (34.12%). Top 3 placements: 4 (4.71%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 29 positive, 43 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 39.7%. The net framing score was 0.38 (defined in Methodology).

44 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 13.79% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Nationwide's mention count fell from 108 to 73, while its recommendation count fell from 69 to 29. The recommendation rate was 36.51% and 34.12% respectively.

Nationwide reaches most included answers but records a comparatively low recommendation count, so many mentions carry no endorsement. Shortlist placements are few and no first-place results were recorded, placing its endorsements mostly later in the ordering.

Neutral wording outnumbers positive, with one negative mention. The prior-month comparison shows lower counts and a slightly lower recommendation rate; the differing samples prevent any causal reading of that movement.

Farmers

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Farmers mentions, recommendations and placement?

Farmers ranks 6 by recommendation count. Mentions: 63 (74.12%); recommendations: 28 (32.94%). Top 3 placements: 1 (1.18%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 28 positive, 34 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 44.4%. The net framing score was 0.43 (defined in Methodology).

35 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 3.57% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Farmers' mention count fell from 148 to 63, while its recommendation count fell from 90 to 28. The recommendation rate was 47.62% and 32.94% respectively.

Farmers appears in a majority of included answers but earns endorsements in fewer than half of them. Shortlist placements are rare and no first-place results were recorded, so its recommendations seldom sit near the front of the ordering.

Positive and neutral wording are close in number, with one negative mention. The prior-month comparison records lower counts and a lower recommendation rate; the samples differ, so the change is stated without attribution.

American Family Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

American Family Insurance ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 45 (52.94%); recommendations: 22 (25.88%). Top 3 placements: 3 (3.53%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 22 positive, 23 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 48.9%. The net framing score was 0.49 (defined in Methodology).

23 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 13.64% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, American Family Insurance's mention count fell from 69 to 45, while its recommendation count fell from 48 to 22. The recommendation rate was 25.40% and 25.88% respectively.

American Family Insurance appears in roughly half of the included answers and earns endorsements in about half of those mentions. Shortlist placements are few and no first-place results were recorded, so its endorsements rarely lead the ordering.

Positive and neutral wording are nearly balanced, with no negative mentions. The prior-month comparison shows lower counts but a slightly higher recommendation rate; the differing samples mean this mixed movement is reported, not explained.

Liberty Mutual

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Liberty Mutual mentions, recommendations and placement?

Liberty Mutual ranks 8 by recommendation count. Mentions: 53 (62.35%); recommendations: 20 (23.53%). Top 3 placements: 3 (3.53%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 20 positive, 32 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 37.7%. The net framing score was 0.36 (defined in Methodology).

33 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 15.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Liberty Mutual's mention count fell from 135 to 53, while its recommendation count fell from 78 to 20. The recommendation rate was 41.27% and 23.53% respectively.

Liberty Mutual appears in a majority of included answers but earns endorsements in fewer than two in five mentions, one of the lower recommendation-to-mention ratios among the larger profiles. Shortlist placements are few and no first-place results were recorded.

Neutral wording outnumbers positive, with one negative mention. The prior-month comparison shows lower counts and a lower recommendation rate; the samples differ, so the shift is recorded without a causal claim.

Steadily

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Steadily mentions, recommendations and placement?

Steadily ranks 9 by recommendation count. Mentions: 4 (4.71%); recommendations: 4 (4.71%). Top 3 placements: 2 (2.35%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 4 positive, 0 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 100.0%. The net framing score was 1.00 (defined in Methodology).

0 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 50.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Steadily's mention count fell from 34 to 4, while its recommendation count fell from 34 to 4. The recommendation rate was 17.99% and 4.71% respectively.

Steadily appears in only a handful of included answers, and every one of those mentions also carried an endorsement, giving a complete recommendation-to-mention ratio. That ratio rests on a very small base and should be read with caution rather than as a broad pattern.

All recorded wording is positive, and half of the recommendations were shortlisted, with none placed first. The prior-month comparison shows far lower counts and a lower recommendation rate; the samples differ, so no cause is inferred.

Obie

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Obie mentions, recommendations and placement?

Obie ranks 10 by recommendation count. Mentions: 2 (2.35%); recommendations: 2 (2.35%). Top 3 placements: 1 (1.18%); first-place placements: 1 (1.18%).

Wording about the company: 2 positive, 0 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 100.0%. The net framing score was 1.00 (defined in Methodology).

0 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 50.00% were Top 3 and 50.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Obie's mention count fell from 30 to 2, while its recommendation count fell from 30 to 2. The recommendation rate was 15.87% and 2.35% respectively.

Obie appears in very few included answers, and each mention carried an endorsement, producing a complete recommendation-to-mention ratio on a sparse base. One of those recommendations was placed first, a notable share given the small total.

All recorded wording is positive. The prior-month comparison shows far lower counts and a lower recommendation rate; because the monthly samples differ, the movement is reported without explanation or claims about standing.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

Each month is a separate sample of AI answers, and the included answer totals differ across months. Counts, rates and coverage should be read together: a lower count can accompany a stable or higher rate, and rank positions reflect recommendation counts within that month only.

The earlier snapshots show how recorded results moved over time, not whether rankings are stable or samples equivalent. A single prior month cannot establish a first-ever result or the reason for any change.

What the November Rankings Show

These sections answer different questions. Reach asks how often a company appeared; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where an endorsement sat within the ordering; framing asks how the wording was classified. None of these substitutes for the others, and combining them into one score would blur what each measures.

The leaderboard orders by recommendation count, so a company with wide reach but fewer endorsements can sit below one with narrower reach. Placement figures are nested inside recommendations, and framing is independent of endorsement. Ties reflect equal counts, not shared credit.

All readings describe the reviewed AI answers, not customers, sales or verified company facts. The monthly samples differ, so comparisons across months show recorded movement without establishing why it occurred.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

The benchmark covers a partial set of planned question categories, and the exact collection dates for the original answers are unverified; the month label is the reporting period. Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and a recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording.
