LLM Authority Index Research | Gemini | Investing, Retirement, Mortgage and Financial Decisions | July-September 2026
Gemini uses a sharply category-dependent source market when consumers ask high-stakes questions about investing, retirement, mortgages, refinancing, financial advisors, stock brokers, robo-advisors, annuities, structured settlements, precious metals and crypto.
Across 1,743 deduplicated Gemini responses covering 11 financial decision verticals, Money.com ranked #1, appearing as a cited domain in 13.02% of eligible responses. Bankrate and Forbes tied on response coverage at 4.99%, with Bankrate ranked #2 because it produced more citation events. Kraken ranked #4 at 2.58%, followed by Schwab at 2.18%.
The financial slice is materially more concentrated than Gemini overall. The Top 100 account for 72.7% of domain-response appearances in this category, compared with 54.1% in the broader Gemini High-Stakes Consumer Decisions study.
Only 38 of the financial Top 100 domains also appear in Gemini's overall Top 100. That is a major category effect: a platform-wide source leaderboard misses many specialist publishers, financial institutions, crypto sources, mortgage sites and niche authorities that become important when the question set narrows to financial decisions.
Answer Capsule
In a July-September 2026 analysis of 1,743 deduplicated Gemini responses across 11 high-stakes investing, retirement, mortgage and financial decision verticals, Money.com was the most frequently cited registrable domain, appearing in 227 responses, or 13.02% of the measured panel. Bankrate and Forbes each appeared in 87 responses, or 4.99%. The study counted 2,402 public-facing citation events, 2,341 domain-response appearances, and 523 distinct cited registrable domains after excluding 83 myactivity.google.com account-activity entries from the publisher ranking. The category Top 100 accounted for 72.7% of response-level source appearances and shared only 38 domains with Gemini's broader Top 100.
Key Findings
- Money.com leads the category: 227 responses, 13.02% response citation coverage, and the #1 monthly position in July, August and September.
- Bankrate and Forbes form a second tier: both were cited in 87 responses, but Bankrate generated 93 citation events versus 87 for Forbes.
- The source market is concentrated: the Top 10 account for 27.8% of domain-response appearances; the Top 100 account for 72.7%.
- Category specialization is substantial: only 38 domains overlap between the financial Top 100 and Gemini's overall Top 100.
- Specialists over-index sharply: Kraken, Schwab, Fidelity, Ledger, StockBrokers.com, NYSSBDC and Bitcoin Foundation all have roughly 4x or greater financial-category lift relative to their Gemini-wide coverage.
- Vertical leaders differ materially: Bankrate leads Mortgage and Mortgage Refinance; Kraken leads Crypto Exchanges; StockBrokers.com leads Online Stock Brokers; Catalina Structured Funding leads Structured Settlements; Money.com leads several broader financial decision verticals.
- Monthly rank persistence is moderate rather than fixed: only 46 domains stayed in the Top 100 in all three months.
- Reddit is not a category leader on Gemini: it ranks #27 at 1.09% coverage, despite appearing across 10 of the 11 vertical labels.

Questions This Study Answers
- Which websites dominate Gemini citations for high-stakes investing, retirement, mortgage and financial decisions, and how does that source hierarchy change by vertical?
- How persistent is Gemini's financial source market over time, and how portable is that authority to other AI platforms?
- What should financial publishers, investment brands, mortgage companies and CMOs measure before allocating resources to Gemini-focused content, PR, partnerships or earned media?
Why This Research Belongs in Daily AI Search Marketing Decisions
Article 38 sits at the intersection of two commercially useful views of the same source market:
- the Gemini platform view, which asks which sources recur across high-stakes consumer decisions on Gemini; and
- the Investing, Retirement, Mortgage and Financial decision-family view, which asks which sources recur across six AI platform families for one commercial financial category.
For publishers and specialist financial sites, that intersection supports a more precise claim than saying a domain is simply "visible in Gemini." A source can document whether it is cited specifically for high-intent investing, mortgage, retirement, precious-metals, crypto, annuity or structured-settlement decisions, whether that visibility persists over time, and whether its authority is broad across the family or concentrated in one decision journey.
For brands, financial institutions, mortgage companies, investment platforms, CMOs, PR teams and agencies, the operating question is:
Which sources are already present around the exact financial decisions our customers ask Gemini to help them make?
Five findings matter for daily planning:
- the Top 100 account for 72.7% of domain-response appearances in this Gemini financial slice;
- the Top 10 account for 27.8% of domain-response appearances;
- only 38 domains overlap between this financial Top 100 and Gemini's broader High-Stakes Top 100, a 23.5% Jaccard similarity;
- 46 domains remained in the monthly financial Top 100 in July, August and September, and the median of the three monthly Top 100 Jaccard comparisons was 42.9%; and
- the final child-study Top 100 lists show Gemini sharing 60 domains with Google AI Mode, 59 with Google AI Overviews, 43 with Perplexity, 41 with ChatGPT and 26 with Microsoft Copilot.
The parent Investing, Retirement, Mortgage and Financial Citation Authority Study provides the category-level Persistence-Portability Gap interpretation. It reports:
- 66.7% median monthly Top 100 persistence;
- 28.2% frozen median cross-platform Top 100 portability; and
- an approximate 38.5 percentage-point Persistence-Portability Gap.
Article 38 answers a narrower Gemini-specific question. Its 42.9% median monthly Top 100 persistence should not be subtracted from one pairwise cross-platform overlap to create a Gemini-specific gap. The parent PPG uses category-level summary statistics across the broader family.
There is also a versioning caveat. Recomputing portability from the final six child-study Top 100 lists produces a median of about 27.4%, rather than the frozen parent's 28.2%. The parent study therefore continues to use 28.2% for its published PPG until the entire family is rerun through one consolidated pipeline. Article 38 should not silently mix those versions.
The concentration result also should not be confused with stability. Gemini's financial source market is concentrated, but its monthly Top 100 still rotated materially. Concentration, persistence and portability are distinct measurements.
Citation visibility should remain separate from brand mentions, recommendation rate, ranking, sentiment, citation-recommendation coupling and downstream outcomes. A source can be frequently cited without causing Gemini to recommend a particular lender, investment platform, financial advisor, broker, exchange or retirement product.
Commercial Action Matrix: What Publishers and CMOs Can Do With the Findings
| Research finding | What financial publishers can responsibly say | What brands and CMOs can reasonably do |
|---|---|---|
| Money.com, Bankrate, Forbes, Kraken and Schwab lead this Gemini financial source map | "Our domain can be benchmarked against the sources most frequently cited by Gemini for this defined financial decision set." | Use category leaders as a research tier, then test fit for the exact product and prompt cluster. |
| The Top 100 account for 72.7% of domain-response appearances | "Gemini's measured financial source market is concentrated, but less concentrated than several sibling platform-category slices." | Prioritize the recurring source core while leaving room for vertical specialists and a wider long tail. |
| Only 38 domains overlap with broad Gemini's Top 100 | "Category-specific authority can be commercially important without broad platform-wide rank." | Use investing, retirement, mortgage and financial source maps instead of generic Gemini leaderboards. |
| 46 domains remained in the Top 100 across all three months and median monthly Jaccard was 42.9% | "A three-month aggregate should not be described as fixed or permanent." | Refresh source-priority lists on a fixed cadence and track gains, losses and rank movement. |
| Gemini shares 60 financial Top 100 domains with Google AI Mode but only 26 with Microsoft Copilot | "Source portability differs materially by platform pair." | Maintain a shared cross-platform core plus Gemini-specific and engine-specific priorities. |
| The parent category reports a 38.5-point exploratory Persistence-Portability Gap | "The broader financial source portfolio is more stable over time than fully transferable across engines." | Separate the time question from the platform question when allocating content, PR and partnership resources. |
| Kraken, Schwab, Fidelity, Ledger and StockBrokers.com over-index sharply after the financial filter | "Specialist authority can be understated by a broad platform leaderboard." | Preserve high-lift specialists when they dominate the exact commercial decision, even if their platform-wide rank is modest. |
| Money.com ranked #1 in July, August and September | "Some source leaders are durable even when the wider source set rotates." | Separate durable core sources from the changing monthly perimeter. |
83 myactivity.google.com entries were excluded | "The ranking reflects substantive public-facing sources rather than Google account infrastructure." | Audit raw Gemini citation exports before using them for publisher investment decisions. |
| Citation visibility does not establish recommendation causality | "Our content is measurably present in the visible source layer." | Measure citations, mentions, recommendations, rank, sentiment and business outcomes separately. |
The daily operating model is therefore four-layered:
- Current Gemini financial core: maintain the sources that matter now, with the collection date attached.
- Vertical and prompt-cluster layer: identify which sources dominate the exact mortgage, refinance, advisor, brokerage, robo-advisor, retirement, precious-metals, crypto or settlement decision.
- Longitudinal check: monitor whether priority sources persist, decline, rotate or change rank.
- Cross-platform check: determine whether the same sources also matter in Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot.

The long tail matters. A domain can rank modestly across the full financial category and still be highly important in one specific commercial decision vertical.

Citation Concentration
Gemini's financial citation market is substantially more concentrated than Gemini's broader high-stakes source market.
| Ranking depth | Share of domain-response appearances | Share of citation events | Gemini overall appearance share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top 10 | 27.8% | 27.6% | 23.9% |
| Top 25 | 42.8% | 43.0% | 33.6% |
| Top 50 | 58.2% | 58.7% | 42.6% |
| Top 100 | 72.7% | 73.2% | 54.1% |
The Top 100 account for nearly three quarters of all domain-response appearances in this category, compared with just over half in the broader Gemini study. A financial Gemini strategy can therefore be more focused than a platform-wide strategy, but it still cannot be reduced to the first ten domains.
Financial Specialization vs. Gemini Overall
Only 38 of the Gemini financial Top 100 also appear in Gemini's overall Top 100. The resulting Jaccard similarity is 23.5%.
The table below compares the leading financial sources with their broader Gemini coverage. A lift above 1.0x means a domain appears more often in this financial slice than across the full Gemini High-Stakes Consumer Decisions panel.
| Domain | Financial coverage | Gemini overall coverage | Financial / overall lift | Financial rank | Gemini overall rank |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| money.com | 13.02% | 9.31% | 1.40x | 1 | 1 |
| bankrate.com | 4.99% | 6.49% | 0.77x | 2 | 2 |

| fidelity.com | 2.01% | 0.50% | 4.02x | 7 | 45 |
| lendingtree.com | 1.95% | 2.63% | 0.74x | 8 | 5 |
| themortgagereports.com | 1.95% | 0.99% | 1.97x | 9 | 17 |

| bitcoinfoundation.org | 1.49% | 0.34% | 4.39x | 14 | 75 |
| thecollegeinvestor.com | 1.49% | 0.60% | 2.49x | 15 | 30 |
The clearest specialist signals are not necessarily the highest overall domains. Kraken, Fidelity, Ledger, StockBrokers.com, NYSSBDC and Bitcoin Foundation all become much more important once the prompt universe is restricted to these financial decisions.
Money.com is different. It is both the #1 Gemini source overall and the #1 source in this financial category, yet its coverage still rises from 9.31% broadly to 13.02% in the financial slice.

| Structured Settlements | 57 | catalinastructuredfunding.com | 31.6% | annuity.org | 17.5% | peachtreefinancial.com | 15.8% |
The vertical table changes the strategic interpretation of the category ranking:
- Mortgage Refinance is heavily concentrated around Bankrate, Money.com and Credit Karma.
- Online Stock Brokers elevates StockBrokers.com, Schwab and Fidelity.
- Crypto Exchanges elevates Kraken and Binance.
- Crypto Wallets elevates Bitcoin Foundation and Ledger.
- Gold IRAs and Precious Metals Dealers has an unusually strong Money.com presence, but also surfaces NYSSBDC and JM Bullion.
- Structured Settlements is highly specialist, with Catalina Structured Funding, Annuity.org and Peachtree Financial leading.
- Reverse Mortgage is led by Money.com, followed by Zeitro and Forbes.
This is why a Top 100 platform/category ranking should be treated as a source map, not as a universal outreach list.

Breadth vs. Specialization
Broad citation visibility and specialist citation visibility are different assets.
Money.com, Forbes and Reddit each appear across 10 of the 11 financial source labels in this slice. YouTube appears across nine. That breadth can matter to publishers selling cross-category reach and to brands with multiple product lines.
Specialists can still be more relevant to a narrow buyer journey. Kraken ranks #4 category-wide because of its crypto role. StockBrokers.com ranks #11 overall but leads the Online Stock Brokers vertical. Catalina Structured Funding is outside the Top 25 category-wide but leads Structured Settlements with 31.6% response coverage.
For a CMO, the useful question is not simply, "Which site ranks highest?" It is, "Which recurring sources surround the exact commercial prompts that matter to this product?"
Monthly Persistence and Citation Drift
Gemini's financial Top 100 had a stable core, but the perimeter moved substantially across the three-month study window.
| Month comparison | Shared Top 100 domains | Jaccard similarity |
|---|---|---|
| 07 vs. 08 | 55 | 37.9% |
| 07 vs. 09 | 62 | 44.9% |
| 08 vs. 09 | 60 | 42.9% |
46 domains appeared in the monthly Top 100 in all three months. The median of the three monthly Top 100 Jaccard comparisons was 42.9%.
The leading source was highly stable: Money.com ranked #1 in July, August and September. Bankrate ranked #3, #2 and #5, while Forbes ranked #2, #3 and #2.
Some specialist domains moved much more sharply. Kraken ranked #4 in July, #55 in August and #4 again in September. Bitcoin Foundation ranked #15 in July, fell outside the August ranking, and rose to #3 in September. Reddit moved from #13 in July to #81 in August and #31 in September.
Aggregate persistence therefore should not be confused with prompt-level stability. A publisher can remain strategically important even while the exact queries and URLs generating citations change.

Platform Differences: Gemini's Financial Source Market Is Not Interchangeable With Other AI Engines
The final Investing, Retirement, Mortgage and Financial child-study Top 100 lists show meaningful cross-platform overlap, but no other measured engine uses the same source portfolio.
| Comparison | Shared Top 100 Domains | Jaccard Similarity |
|---|---|---|
| Gemini financial vs. Google AI Mode financial | 60 | 42.9% |
| Gemini financial vs. Google AI Overviews financial | 59 | 41.8% |
| Gemini financial vs. Perplexity financial | 43 | 27.4% |
| Gemini financial vs. ChatGPT financial | 41 | 25.8% |
| Gemini financial vs. Microsoft Copilot financial | 26 | 14.9% |
Gemini is closest to the two Google AI search surfaces in this decision family. Its overlap with Perplexity and ChatGPT is much lower. The Gemini-Copilot pair is the least similar platform pair in the parent financial study.
The ranking order also differs materially. Gemini begins with Money.com, Bankrate, Forbes, Kraken and Schwab. Google AI Mode is led by NerdWallet and Investopedia. ChatGPT is led by Forbes and NerdWallet. Perplexity is led by NerdWallet and Investopedia. Copilot uses a substantially different source portfolio again.
That difference is commercially important. A source strategy optimized for Google AI search, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Copilot is not automatically a Gemini source strategy.
The operating implication is to maintain three layers: a cross-platform financial core, a Gemini-specific source layer, and a vertical-specific specialist layer.

Prior Research and Why the Rankings Can Look Different
Ahrefs: broad U.S. all-topic Gemini queries
Ahrefs' September 2026 Gemini study tracks more than 3 million U.S. queries across all topics and ranks domains by mention share among the top sources. Reddit ranks #1 at 28.5%, YouTube #2 at 14.6%, Wikipedia #3 at 8.8%, Walmart #4 at 2.8%, and Forbes #5 at 2.7%. Ahrefs: The 50 Most-Cited Websites in Gemini
That is very different from Article 38, where Money.com, Bankrate, Forbes, Kraken and Schwab lead a high-intent financial panel by response citation coverage.
The difference is not a contradiction. The query population, category mix, metric, denominator and time window differ.
BrightEdge: finance source concentration differs sharply by engine
BrightEdge's August 31, 2026 finance analysis compared Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT using citation presence across tracked U.S. finance prompts. Google's top five were approximately 51%, 29%, 19%, 19% and 18%, while ChatGPT's top five were approximately 19%, 15%, 14%, 14% and 11%. BrightEdge: Institution or Platform
BrightEdge does not report Gemini in that comparison, so those percentages should not be imported into Article 38. The useful comparison is structural: finance source concentration and hierarchy can change substantially by engine.
Wellows: same-question source overlap is much lower than aggregated Top 100 overlap
Wellows analyzed 22.7 million citations across more than 1.1 million questions from January through June 2026. Its same-question website overlap for Gemini was 12.0% with Google AI Overviews, 10.9% with Google AI Mode, 7.4% with Perplexity and 6.1% with ChatGPT. Wellows AI Citation Overlap Study
Those values should not be compared directly with Article 38's Top 100 Jaccard values. Wellows compares sources question by question, while Article 38 compares aggregated category Top 100 domain sets. The agreement is conceptual: source portability depends heavily on the engine pair and the unit of analysis.
Tinuiti: category and platform both matter
Tinuiti's Q3 2026 AI Citation Trends Report tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot across several commercial categories. It reports that source behavior continues to differ by platform and category, including substantial variation in social-source use and increasing self-citation by Google surfaces. Tinuiti Q3 2026 AI Citation Trends Report
Tinuiti's tracked categories do not match this financial panel exactly. The relevant agreement is methodological: a Gemini source strategy should be validated against the exact category and prompt population rather than inferred from a platform-wide average.
Studies can disagree because of:
- query selection
- commercial intent
- geography
- time window
- ranking metric
- citation-event versus response-level counting
- source-type classification
- technical-asset exclusions
- domain normalization
- platform mode and UI behavior
The relevant question is not which ranking is universally correct. It is which ranking matches the decision environment and measurement contract a publisher or brand actually cares about.

Why This Study Is Different
This study is not differentiated simply because it publishes a Gemini source list. Its contribution is the combination of:
- a high-stakes consumer decision query population;
- a narrow financial category spanning 11 preserved source vertical labels;
- a three-month longitudinal window;
- Gemini-specific analysis rather than pooled AI citation counts;
- response-level citation coverage and raw citation-event metrics reported separately;
- registrable-domain normalization using Public Suffix List logic;
- explicit extraction-failure accounting;
- exact-repeat handling across overlapping source exports;
- public exclusion of Google account-activity infrastructure; and
- direct comparison with parallel financial studies on Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
Why AI Citation Studies Can Disagree
Two well-executed Gemini citation studies can produce different rankings because they may differ in:
- prompt population and commercial intent;
- broad all-topic versus category-specific sampling;
- Gemini product surface or API configuration;
- geography and language;
- collection dates and model/retrieval version;
- URL-level versus registrable-domain normalization;
- whether a domain can count once or multiple times per response;
- treatment of technical Google surfaces;
- extraction-failure handling;
- duplicate and shared-prompt treatment; and
- whether the denominator is responses, citation events, URLs, domains or mention share.
A citation percentage should therefore always be interpreted with its denominator and collection contract.
What This Means for Financial Publishers
1. Document the exact market where your visibility exists
A publisher can use this study to distinguish broad Gemini visibility from specialist financial visibility. A domain that is modest in Gemini overall can become highly important inside a specific decision market.
2. Sell breadth and specialist depth as different products
A broad publisher can document cross-vertical presence. A specialist can document strong concentration in one buyer journey. Those are different commercial stories and should be measured separately.
3. Use persistence as stronger evidence than one snapshot
Money.com's #1 position in all three months is stronger evidence of recurring visibility than a single one-day ranking. Publishers should preserve the study period when citing any result commercially.
4. Keep the claim observational
A defensible publisher statement is:
"Our domain is measurably present among the visible sources Gemini cited in this defined high-stakes financial decision panel."
The data do not support claiming that Gemini "trusts" a publisher or that buying coverage will cause a model recommendation.

What This Means for Brands and CMOs
1. Build a Gemini-specific source map
Start with the exact Gemini prompts that matter commercially. Identify the domains and URLs that recur around those prompts, rather than assuming a broad AI publisher list applies.
2. Separate broad authorities from vertical specialists
Money.com, Forbes and other broad domains matter across many financial verticals, but specialist sources can be more relevant to crypto, brokerage, structured-settlement or mortgage questions.
3. Do not reuse the Google or ChatGPT source plan unchanged
The Top 100 overlaps show that Gemini's financial source set is not interchangeable with Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT or Perplexity.
4. Re-run matched prompts over time
Only 46 domains remained in Gemini's monthly financial Top 100 in all three months. Repeated measurement is necessary before attributing a visibility change to content, PR or publisher outreach.
Methodology
Research source
This study uses the frozen July-September 2026 LLM Authority Index High-Stakes Consumer Decisions archive used by the parent citation-authority study and the other platform/category studies in this 66-article research program.
Platform filter
Only observations assigned to the Gemini platform family are included.
Category assignment
Observations are included when their preserved source memberships belong to the Investing, Retirement, Mortgage and Financial Decisions family. The 11 source labels are listed in the What We Studied section.
Exact file deduplication
Byte-identical source files were deduplicated by SHA-256 before observation processing.
Analytical anti-double-counting
Observations were treated as exact repeats when they shared the same:
- report month;
- exact raw platform/source surface;
- normalized prompt text; and
- exact set of original citation URLs.
One analytical record was retained while preserving originating source memberships. This prevents exact repeats inside this platform/category slice from inflating totals but does not establish that the upstream system executed a prompt only once.
Prompt normalization
Prompt matching uses Unicode NFKC normalization, case folding, whitespace collapse and trimming. Prompt wording is otherwise preserved.
Domain normalization
Citation URLs were parsed to hostnames, normalized to lowercase, stripped of leading www., and consolidated to registrable domains using Public Suffix List logic. When a captured citation record retained a source domain but did not preserve a usable URL, the preserved domain field remained available for domain-level analysis.
Infrastructure exclusions
The public ranking excludes obvious technical infrastructure rather than treating it as editorial authority. In this Gemini financial slice, 83 citation records pointed to myactivity.google.com, a Google account-activity surface. Those entries were excluded from the public ranking.
The study does not automatically remove every Google-owned substantive page solely because Google owns the domain.
Primary metric
Response Citation Coverage = eligible Gemini financial responses citing domain at least once / all eligible deduplicated Gemini financial responses.
The denominator for this article is 1,743 responses. A domain counts at most once per response for this metric.
Secondary metric
Citation Events count visible substantive citation entries after the public infrastructure exclusion. A response can generate multiple citation events from the same registrable domain.
Vertical membership
A deduplicated response retains the preserved source-dataset memberships needed for vertical analysis. The vertical table reports response-level citation coverage within each source label.
Monthly persistence
Monthly Top 100 lists use the same response-level ranking metric. Pairwise overlap uses Jaccard similarity: intersection divided by union. The persistent count is the number of domains present in all three monthly Top 100 lists.
Category lift
Financial category lift compares a domain's response coverage in this Gemini financial slice with its published response coverage across the broader Gemini High-Stakes Consumer Decisions study. Lift is descriptive and does not imply causal preference by the platform.
Denominator note
This article is calculated directly from the frozen record-level corpus under the same child-study anti-double-counting contract used for the newer platform/category articles. Older category-summary tables published earlier in the series used preliminary slice totals and should not be used to override this article's frozen denominator.

Limitations
- This measures visible citations, not hidden retrieval or model training data.
- Citation does not establish recommendation causality, endorsement, trust, factual accuracy or conversion impact.
- The study is a high-stakes financial research panel, not a census of all Gemini usage.
- The 11 source labels are not statistically independent industries. Related datasets can share prompts and source ecosystems.
- Domain-level rankings can hide URL-level turnover. A domain can remain visible while Gemini changes the cited page.
- The three-month period is short. Longer windows are needed to establish durable multi-quarter persistence.
- Gemini behavior can vary by geography, account state, interface, model version and rollout.
- The financial category is heterogeneous. Crypto, mortgage, annuity, brokerage and structured-settlement prompts can have very different source markets.
- Platform comparisons use separately measured source markets. Their percentages should not be treated as one pooled denominator.
- External studies cited here use different query populations and metrics. Their percentages are methodological context, not direct substitutes for LLMAI response coverage.
Commercial Disclosure
LLM Authority Index is part of a business ecosystem that provides AI visibility, research and marketing services. Affiliated businesses may have current or historical commercial relationships with companies or publishers that appear in the dataset.
Commercial relationships are not inputs to the citation ranking methodology. Domains are included based on observed citation data. A ranking is not an endorsement, and a commercial relationship is not treated as evidence that it caused citation visibility.
