Answer capsule

The November 2026 Live Chat Software benchmark compares 10 companies across 363 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. tawk.to leads with 275 recommendations (75.76% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 330 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by recommendation count, meaning the number of reviewed AI answers that affirmatively endorsed each company. That ordering is not the same as reach: a company can appear in more answers than it is recommended in, and placement figures sit inside recommendations rather than beside them.

Ties require equal recommendation counts, so near-neighbours should not be read as a strict hierarchy. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates share one answer denominator, which makes them comparable but not additive.

330 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 1480, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Almost every reviewed answer named at least one tracked company, and most recommended at least one. Because a single answer can recommend several companies, company-level recommendation totals exceed the number of answers, so they should not be summed as if each answer counted once.

The answers with no tracked recommendation are still part of the measured set; they may have named companies outside this comparison. Coverage describes what these answers contained, not overall market presence.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

tawk.to ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 286 (78.79%); recommendations: 275 (75.76%). Top 3 placements: 207 (57.02%); first-place placements: 112 (30.85%).

Wording about the company: 276 positive, 10 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 96.2%. The net framing score was 0.97 (defined in Methodology).

11 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 75.27% were Top 3 and 40.73% were first-place.

Mention records that a company appeared in an answer; recommendation records an affirmative endorsement. tawk.to leads on recommendation count, but its mention total is slightly higher than its recommendation total, so the two measures answer different questions.

A high recommendation-to-mention ratio means most appearances also carried an endorsement in these answers. It does not describe customers, sales or conversion, and it does not explain why endorsements occurred.

Top 3 and first-place placements are nested within recommendations: a first-place result is also a shortlist result, and both are also recommendations. They are not additional wins and should not be added to recommendation counts.

Placement describes where a recommended company sat in the recorded answer's ordering. A company can be recommended often yet rarely placed first, and the printed counts show that pattern varies widely across the tracked set.

Framing classifies the wording used about a company in the reviewed answers as positive, neutral or negative. It is a description of answer language, not a measure of customer sentiment, product quality or reputation.

Most mentions across the tracked set were classified positive, with neutral wording more common than negative. Neutral or positive wording does not establish why a company was or was not recommended; framing and recommendation are recorded separately.

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about tawk.to mentions, recommendations and placement?

tawk.to ranks 1 by recommendation count.

From October 2026 to November 2026, tawk.to's mention count rose from 254 to 286, while its recommendation count rose from 225 to 275. The recommendation rate was 60.16% and 75.76% respectively.

tawk.to holds the top recommendation count, with mentions only slightly ahead of recommendations, so most appearances in these answers also carried an endorsement. Its placements skew toward the front of recommended lists, and first-place results form a substantial part of its recommendations.

Wording was overwhelmingly positive with no negative mentions recorded. The month-to-month comparison shows both counts higher than the prior sample; that is a recorded change, not evidence of cause.

Tidio

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Tidio mentions, recommendations and placement?

Tidio ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 298 (82.09%); recommendations: 274 (75.48%). Top 3 placements: 182 (50.14%); first-place placements: 50 (13.77%).

Wording about the company: 276 positive, 22 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 91.9%. The net framing score was 0.93 (defined in Methodology).

24 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 66.42% were Top 3 and 18.25% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Tidio's mention count fell from 309 to 298, while its recommendation count rose from 253 to 274. The recommendation rate was 67.65% and 75.48% respectively.

Tidio ranks second on recommendation count while recording the largest mention total in the set, so a noticeable share of its appearances carried no endorsement. Its recommendations lean toward shortlist placement more than first place.

Framing was largely positive with some neutral wording and no negatives. Mentions were lower than the prior sample while recommendations were higher; the differing samples mean this comparison should not be read as a trend in standing.

LiveChat (Text S.A. (formerly LiveChat Software S.A.)

Olark ranks eighth on recommendation count on a much smaller base than the leaders, so its rates rest on few answers and should be read with that qualification. Mentions slightly exceed recommendations, and shortlist placements are rare with no first-place results recorded.

Wording was mostly positive with a few neutral mentions. Both counts were higher than the prior sample, but the small totals limit how much weight that comparison can carry.

Framing included a notable neutral share and one negative mention. Both counts were lower than the prior sample; that recorded comparison does not establish why the counts fell.

LivePerson

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly table shows separate selected answer samples, each with its own answer total and coverage. Counts and rates should be read together, since a rate depends on both the company's count and the number of answers in that month.

Rank changes across months describe the recorded ordering only. Different samples and answer totals mean these snapshots do not establish rank stability, improvement or the reasons behind any movement.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results answer several distinct questions. Reach asks whether a company appeared at all; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where it sat among endorsements; framing describes the wording used. A company can be strong on one and weaker on another, which is why the leaderboard alone is an incomplete reading.

Recommendation-to-mention ratios and framing scores describe the recorded answers, not customers, sales or company quality. The nested placement counts should not be added to recommendations, and ties should be read as ties. Together these measures give a layered picture of how these AI answers discussed the tracked companies, without explaining why.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

This benchmark has partial coverage: 2 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 1 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

Coverage is partial: only some planned question categories contributed usable answers, and the exact collection dates are unverified. Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and one answer can mention or recommend several companies, so company totals are not additive.

Recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Top 3 and first-place results are subsets of recommendations. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions over all mentions, and does not measure customer satisfaction. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change, not cause.
