Answer capsule

The November 2026 Homeowners Protection benchmark compares 10 companies across 656 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. American Home Shield leads with 624 recommendations (95.12% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 636 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many recorded answers affirmatively recommended them. That count is not the same as how often a company appeared, and it is not the same as how prominently it was placed. A company can be mentioned widely yet recommended less often, or recommended often yet rarely placed first.

Ties require equal recommendation counts; near-equal counts should not be read as ties. Placement figures are nested inside recommendations, so first-place and shortlist results are subsets rather than separate wins. Reading mentions, recommendations and placements separately keeps each measure answering its own question.

636 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 2830, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Almost every included answer mentioned at least one tracked company, and nearly all recommended one. Most answers recommended several tracked companies at once, so company totals overlap heavily and cannot be summed into a market total.

This coverage describes the answers reviewed, not overall market dominance. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison. The overlap means a single answer can lift several companies' counts simultaneously.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

American Home Shield ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 650 (99.09%); recommendations: 624 (95.12%). Top 3 placements: 611 (93.14%); first-place placements: 384 (58.54%).

Wording about the company: 627 positive, 23 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 96.0%. The net framing score was 0.96 (defined in Methodology).

26 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 97.92% were Top 3 and 61.54% were first-place.

American Home Shield illustrates why mention and recommendation must be read apart. It appeared in nearly every answer and was recommended in almost all of those appearances, with a small remainder of mentions carrying no recorded recommendation.

Mention is appearance; recommendation is affirmative endorsement. A high mention count alone does not establish endorsement, and a recommendation count does not establish placement order. The gap between the two measures is where framing and placement questions begin.

Placement describes where a recommended company sat in the recorded answer, not an additional endorsement. Shortlist placements sit inside recommendations, and first-place placements sit inside shortlist placements, so these are nested subsets rather than separate tallies.

Recommendation-to-mention ratios vary across companies, and the lowest ratios sit on the smallest mention bases, where a single answer moves the figure noticeably. Placement order is not consumer conversion, and a first-place result is not a separate win beyond the recommendation it belongs to.

Framing classifies the wording used about a company in the selected answers. Positive and neutral wording dominate the table, and negative wording appears for only one company. A neutral mention is still a mention; it simply carries no clearly positive or negative wording.

Framing is not customer sentiment, reputation or company quality, and it does not explain why a recommendation was or was not recorded. The net framing score summarizes wording balance only. Where negative wording appears, it should be read alongside the recommendation and placement figures rather than as a verdict.

American Home Shield ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 650 (99.09%); recommendations: 624 (95.12%). Top 3 placements: 611 (93.14%); first-place placements: 384 (58.54%).

26 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 97.92% were Top 3 and 61.54% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, American Home Shield's mention count fell from 672 to 650, while its recommendation count stayed at 624. The recommendation rate was 91.76% and 95.12% respectively. The count was unchanged: the rate difference comes from dividing it by 680 answers in October 2026 and 656 in November.

American Home Shield leads on recommendation count and appears in nearly every answer, with most mentions also carrying a recommendation. Its placements skew strongly toward the top of recorded answers, and first-place results form a large share of its recommendations.

Wording is overwhelmingly positive with no negative mentions. From the previous month, mentions eased while recommendations held steady, so the recommendation rate moved even though the count did not. That rate shift reflects a different answer total, not a change in the count itself.

Liberty Home Guard

Questions This Section Answers

Liberty Home Guard ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 548 (83.54%); recommendations: 519 (79.12%). Top 3 placements: 347 (52.90%); first-place placements: 128 (19.51%).

Wording is almost entirely positive with no negative mentions. Both mentions and recommendations eased from the previous month while the recommendation rate stayed close to its prior level. The comparison is between separate monthly answer samples and does not establish why the counts moved.

Wording is strongly positive with no negative mentions. Mentions and recommendations both eased slightly from the previous month, and the recommendation rate edged up. Because the monthly samples differ, the recorded comparison does not establish a cause for either movement.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly snapshots come from separate selected answer samples, so counts, rates and coverage should be read together rather than as a continuous series. A smaller answer total does not by itself explain a company's lower counts or rates.

Rank order has been broadly stable at the top, but ranks are derived from recommendation counts and can shift when counts move. The comparisons show how recorded results changed; they do not establish why, nor do they demonstrate improvement, loss of standing or intervention success.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results answer several distinct questions. Reach asks whether a company appeared at all; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where within that endorsement it sat; and framing asks how the wording was classified. Each measure can move independently of the others.

A company can be mentioned widely yet recommended less often, or recommended often yet rarely placed first. Because placements are nested inside recommendations, they should not be added together or read as extra wins. Framing describes wording, not customer sentiment or company quality.

The leaderboard orders by recommendation count, so it summarizes one measure rather than overall standing. Overlapping coverage means company totals cannot be summed into a market total. The monthly comparisons are recorded changes across separate samples and do not establish causes.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Homeowners Protection AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

This benchmark covers a partial set of question categories, and findings apply only to the available answer set. The reporting month is the period label; exact collection dates for the original AI answers have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and a recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Rates use the full benchmark answer total, and placement results are included within recommendations rather than added to them. The recommendation-to-mention ratio describes answer wording, not customer conversion, and net framing does not measure satisfaction or company quality.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies, so company totals overlap. Monthly samples differ, and comparisons show recorded change without establishing why it occurred. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies.
