Answer capsule
The November 2026 Print Management & Output Management Software benchmark compares 6 companies across 143 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. PaperCut leads with 42 recommendations (29.37% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 42 answers; some answers recommended several companies.
The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

Questions This Section Answers
- How do Print Management & Output Management Software rank by recorded AI recommendations in November 2026?
Rank | Company | Recommendations | Recommendation rate | Mention rate | Top 3 rate | #1 rate | Net sentiment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | PaperCut | 42 | 29.37% | 100.00% | 25.17% | 25.17% | 0.31 |
2 | ThinPrint | 23 | 16.08% | 32.87% | 4.20% | 0.00% | 0.53 |
3 | Barr Systems | 0 | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.00% | Unavailable |
3 | Brooks Internet Software (BrooksNet) | 0 | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.00% | Unavailable |
3 | MPI Tech | 0 | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.00% | Unavailable |
3 | Plus Technologies | 0 | 0.00% | 2.80% | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.00 |
The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them, not by how often they appeared. A company can be mentioned frequently yet recommended rarely, so the recommendation count and the mention count answer different questions. Ties reflect equal recommendation counts, and the shared rank does not imply identical reach or framing.
Placements sit inside recommendations rather than beside them. A first-place result is a subset of shortlist placements, which are themselves a subset of recommendations. Reading the columns as separate achievements would overstate what the recorded answers show.

Questions This Section Answers
- How often did the November 2026 Print Management & Output Management Software answer sample recommend any tracked company?
Answer-level result | Qualified answers | Share of qualified answers |
|---|---|---|
At least one tracked company mentioned | 143 | 100.00% |
At least one tracked company recommended | 42 | 29.37% |
No tracked company recommended | 101 | 70.63% |
Multiple tracked companies recommended | 23 | 16.08% |
42 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 65, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.
Every included answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but only a minority recommended one. Because a single answer can name several companies, the sum of company recommendations exceeds the number of answers carrying any recommendation. That overlap is expected and should not be read as market dominance.
Answers without a tracked recommendation are not empty of recommendations; they may endorse companies outside this comparison. Coverage therefore describes the presence of the tracked set within these answers, not the whole recommendation landscape.
Reach and affirmative recommendation
PaperCut ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 143 (100.00%); recommendations: 42 (29.37%). Top 3 placements: 36 (25.17%); first-place placements: 36 (25.17%).
Wording about the company: 45 positive, 98 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 29.4%. The net framing score was 0.31 (defined in Methodology).
101 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 85.71% were Top 3 and 85.71% were first-place.
PaperCut appears in every included answer, yet only a fraction of those appearances also carry an affirmative recommendation. Mention is presence; recommendation is endorsement. The gap between the two is the central feature of this profile, not a shortfall to be explained away.
Its placements are nested within its recommendations, so the first-place count cannot be added to the shortlist count. The recorded wording is largely neutral, with no negative mentions, and framing describes phrasing rather than customer sentiment.
Recommendation order and placement
Company | Mentions | Recommendation-to-mention ratio | Top 3 / #1 counts | Positive / neutral / negative mentions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
PaperCut | 143 | 29.4% | 36 / 36 | 45 / 98 / 0 |
ThinPrint | 47 | 48.9% | 6 / 0 | 25 / 22 / 0 |
Barr Systems | 0 | Unavailable | 0 / 0 | 0 / 0 / 0 |
Brooks Internet Software (BrooksNet) | 0 | Unavailable | 0 / 0 | 0 / 0 / 0 |
MPI Tech | 0 | Unavailable | 0 / 0 | 0 / 0 / 0 |
Plus Technologies | 4 | 0.0% | 0 / 0 | 0 / 4 / 0 |
Placement describes where a recommended company sits in the answer's ordering. PaperCut's recommendations are almost all shortlisted and first-place, while ThinPrint's are mostly shortlisted but never first. Plus Technologies was mentioned without any recommendation, so its placement counts remain zero.
Recommendation-to-mention ratios describe the recorded answers, not customers or conversion. ThinPrint's ratio rests on a modest base and should be read with that qualification; PaperCut's larger base supports a steadier comparison.
Classified framing in context
Company | Positive | Neutral | Negative |
|---|---|---|---|
PaperCut | 45 | 98 | 0 |
ThinPrint | 25 | 22 | 0 |
Barr Systems | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Brooks Internet Software (BrooksNet) | 0 | 0 | 0 |
MPI Tech | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Plus Technologies | 0 | 4 | 0 |
Framing classifies the wording surrounding each mention as positive, neutral or negative. PaperCut's mentions are mostly neutral with a substantial positive share and none negative; ThinPrint's split more evenly between positive and neutral. Plus Technologies appears only in neutral wording, and the remaining companies have no classified mentions.
Neutral or positive wording does not establish why a recommendation was or was not recorded. Framing is not a reputation measure, customer sentiment or an indicator of company quality.

PaperCut leads on recommendation count and appears in every included answer, but most of those appearances carry no recommendation. Its recommendations are almost entirely shortlisted and first-place, and its wording is neutral-to-positive with no negative mentions. The recommendation-to-mention ratio is moderate on a large base.
Compared with the earlier month, both its mention and recommendation counts were lower, and its recommendation rate also fell. The samples differ between months, so the comparison records change without explaining it.
ThinPrint
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about ThinPrint mentions, recommendations and placement?
ThinPrint ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 47 (32.87%); recommendations: 23 (16.08%). Top 3 placements: 6 (4.20%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

ThinPrint ranks second on recommendation count with a smaller mention base than the leader. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is comparatively high, though the base is modest and warrants caution. Its recommendations are sometimes shortlisted but never first-place, and its wording leans positive with no negative mentions.
Both its mention and recommendation counts were lower than in the earlier month, alongside a lower recommendation rate. Separate monthly samples limit what that comparison can establish.
Barr Systems
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Barr Systems mentions, recommendations and placement?
Barr Systems ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 0 (0.00%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

From October 2026 to November 2026, Barr Systems' mention count stayed at 0, while its recommendation count stayed at 0. The recommendation rate was 0.00% and 0.00% respectively.
Barr Systems recorded no mentions and no recommendations in the included answers. Its placement counts are therefore zero as well, and ratios requiring a nonzero mention base are undefined rather than missing. A measured zero is a result, not an absence of observation.
The earlier month also recorded zero mentions and zero recommendations, so the recorded position is consistent across the two samples without implying anything about causes.

Brooks Internet Software (BrooksNet) recorded no mentions and no recommendations in the included answers. Placement counts are consequently zero, and ratios that divide by mentions are undefined. This is a valid measured zero within the tracked answer set.
The earlier month likewise showed no mentions and no recommendations. The two monthly samples are separate, so the repetition describes the recorded results rather than demonstrating stability of standing.
MPI Tech
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about MPI Tech mentions, recommendations and placement?
MPI Tech ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 0 (0.00%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

MPI Tech recorded no mentions and no recommendations across the included answers. Its placement counts are zero, and ratios requiring a mention base are undefined. The zero is a measured outcome within this answer set, not a gap in the record.
The earlier month also recorded no mentions and no recommendations. Because the monthly samples differ, the repeated zero should be read as a recorded comparison rather than evidence about why the company was absent.
Plus Technologies
Questions This Section Answers

Plus Technologies ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 4 (2.80%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Its mention and recommendation counts were both lower than in the earlier month, when a few recommendations had been recorded. The changed sample does not establish why the counts moved.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.
The earlier and current months are separate selected samples of AI answers, with different answer totals. Counts and rates should be read together: a lower count can accompany a lower rate, and rank can shift while a company's own results stay at zero.
These comparisons show how recorded results changed between samples. They do not establish why any count, rate or rank moved, and they should not be treated as equivalent sampling or as evidence of stable standing.

What the November Rankings Show
Reach, recommendation, placement and framing answer different questions. Reach asks whether a company appeared at all; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where an endorsed company sat in the ordering; framing asks how the wording was classified. A company can be present everywhere yet rarely endorsed, or endorsed often on a narrow base.
Because placements nest inside recommendations, and recommendations can overlap within a single answer, the columns are not additive. The leaderboard orders by recommendation count, but the surrounding measures qualify what that ordering means. The recorded results describe these AI answers, not verified product facts, customer sentiment or conversion.
Methodology
Questions This Section Answers
- How were the November 2026 Print Management & Output Management Software AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?
This benchmark has partial coverage: 2 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 1 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.
The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.
Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.
Market: US; 6 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.
Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):
Screening measure | Count |
|---|---|
Answers included in the benchmark | 143 |
Answers marked relevant during screening | 221 |
Answers marked reserved (screening label) | 78 |
Answers marked irrelevant during screening | 317 |
Captured answer observations | 541 |
Distinct questions | 356 |
Answer observations marked as mentioning a brand | 539 |
The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.
One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.
Monthly sample coverage:
Reporting month | Answers included | AI services covered | Services |
|---|---|---|---|
Oct 2026 | 245 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Nov 2026 | 143 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.
Coverage is partial: only some planned question categories contributed usable observations, and findings apply to the available answer set. The reporting month labels the period, though exact collection dates were not verified. Each company counts at most once per qualifying answer, and a recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording.
Mention, recommendation and placement rates share the full benchmark answer total, with placements nested inside recommendations. The recommendation-to-mention ratio describes answer wording, not customer conversion, and net framing is not a quality or satisfaction measure. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons record change without explaining it. Results describe the reviewed AI answers, not independently verified company facts.
