Answer capsule

The November 2026 Hosted Exchange benchmark compares 10 companies across 121 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. IONOS leads with 42 recommendations (34.71% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 84 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many recorded answers affirmatively recommended them. That count is not the same as reach: a company can appear in many answers without being endorsed, or be endorsed in fewer answers but placed prominently. Ties would require equal recommendation counts, so rank order should be read alongside the printed counts rather than as a unique margin.

Mentions, recommendations, shortlist placements and first-place placements answer different questions. Placements are nested inside recommendations, so they should not be summed with them. Recommendation rates use the full benchmark answer total, while the recommendation-to-mention ratio uses mentions as its base.

84 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 185, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Coverage describes how often the tracked companies appeared together in the same answers. Most qualified answers named at least one tracked company, and a substantial share recommended more than one, which is why company-level recommendation counts exceed the number of answers containing any recommendation.

This overlap means coverage is not a measure of market dominance. An answer can discuss several providers without ranking them, and answers with no tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison. Coverage therefore describes the reviewed answer set, not the wider market.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

IONOS ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 85 (70.25%); recommendations: 42 (34.71%). Top 3 placements: 28 (23.14%); first-place placements: 8 (6.61%).

Wording about the company: 42 positive, 37 neutral, 6 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 49.4%. The net framing score was 0.42 (defined in Methodology).

43 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 66.67% were Top 3 and 19.05% were first-place.

Reach counts answers in which a company appeared at all; recommendation counts only those with an affirmative endorsement. IONOS illustrates the gap: it leads on recommendation count while a large share of its mentions carried no recorded recommendation. Presence in an answer is therefore not evidence of endorsement.

Placement adds another layer. Shortlist and first-place results are subsets of recommendations, not separate wins, and they describe position within an answer rather than customer preference. A high mention count with modest recommendations should be read as broad appearance, not broad support.

Placement records where a recommended company sat within an answer's ordering. Shortlist placements are a subset of recommendations, and first-place placements are a subset of shortlists, so the categories nest rather than accumulate. A company can be recommended often yet rarely placed near the top.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio compares endorsements with appearances. A strong ratio on a small mention base is less stable than the same ratio on a larger one, so sparse profiles need that qualification. These ratios describe recorded answer wording, not sales, conversion or customer behavior.

Framing classifies the wording used about a company in the selected answers as positive, neutral or negative. It is a description of language, not a measure of reputation, customer sentiment or company quality. Neutral wording is common and does not imply criticism; positive wording does not establish why a recommendation was or was not recorded.

The net framing score combines positive and negative mentions on a bounded scale. Because it draws on the same mentions as the other measures, it should be read alongside counts rather than in isolation. Framing differences across companies reflect the reviewed answers only.

Google Workspace sits near the top on recommendation count and shows a distinctive placement pattern: nearly all of its recommendations were shortlisted, and most of those took first place. Its mentions were positive or neutral, with no negative wording recorded. The recommendation-to-mention ratio is moderately strong.

This combination of frequent top placement with a substantial unrecommended mention block is worth reading as position within answers rather than as overall preference. No prior-period comparison is available.

Zoho Inventory

Questions This Section Answers

Zoho Inventory ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 54 (44.63%); recommendations: 35 (28.93%). Top 3 placements: 31 (25.62%); first-place placements: 15 (12.40%).

Its wording is mostly positive with some neutral mentions and a single negative. Fewer than half of its recommendations were shortlisted, and first-place placements were rare.

The profile suggests endorsement that seldom rose to the top of an answer's ordering. No prior-period comparison is available.

GoDaddy

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about GoDaddy mentions, recommendations and placement?

GoDaddy ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 80 (66.12%); recommendations: 18 (14.88%). Top 3 placements: 6 (4.96%); first-place placements: 3 (2.48%).

Its wording is dominated by neutral mentions, with fewer positive and a notable negative set. Only a small fraction of its recommendations were shortlisted, and first-place placements were rare.

The gap between frequent appearance and limited endorsement is the defining feature of this profile. No prior-period comparison is available.

Intermedia appears in relatively few answers but is endorsed in almost all of them, giving the strongest recommendation-to-mention ratio in the set. Its wording is almost entirely positive. Most of its recommendations were shortlisted, though none took first place.

Because the mention base is small, the strong ratio should be read with that qualification; it describes a narrow but consistent pattern of endorsement. No prior-period comparison is available.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The history table shows a single reporting month, so it offers no basis for reading rank stability or change over time. Counts and rates share the same answer denominator, which makes them comparable within the month but not across months.

Earlier months measured different company sets and are excluded from comparison. The snapshot should be read as one selected sample, not as a trend.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results show that reach, recommendation, placement and framing answer separate questions. A company can appear widely yet be endorsed rarely, as with GoDaddy and Microsoft Power Apps, or appear less often yet be endorsed consistently, as with Intermedia. Placement adds position within an answer, and framing describes wording rather than reputation.

Reading these measures together avoids treating any single count as a verdict. The rankings describe the reviewed AI answers, not customers, sales or company quality, and the single-month snapshot cannot establish why patterns appeared.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Hosted Exchange AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 2 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 1 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. August 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. September 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. October 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

The benchmark covers a partial set of planned question categories, and the exact collection dates for the original answers have not been verified. Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and one answer can mention or recommend several companies, so company totals overlap.

Recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Rates use the full benchmark answer total, while the recommendation-to-mention ratio uses mentions. Net framing is a bounded wording measure, not customer satisfaction. Results describe the reviewed answers, not verified company facts, and monthly samples differ.
