Answer capsule

The November 2026 Emergency Dentists benchmark compares 10 companies across 356 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Aspen Dental leads with 114 recommendations (32.02% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 146 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by recommendation count, meaning the number of reviewed AI answers that affirmatively endorsed each company. This is a different question from how often a company appeared at all, so a high mention count does not guarantee a high recommendation count. Ties are genuine equalities in recommendation counts, not near-misses to be broken by other measures.

Placement figures sit inside recommendations rather than beside them. A first-place result is a subset of shortlist placements, which are themselves a subset of recommendations. Reading the columns as separate achievements would overstate what the recorded answers show.

146 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 300, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but fewer than half recommended one. That gap is the central coverage fact: appearing in an answer and being endorsed within it are distinct outcomes, and the benchmark records both.

Because a single answer can recommend several companies, company-level recommendation totals exceed the number of answers containing a recommendation. Answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison, so the coverage figures describe this tracked set rather than the whole answer space.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

Aspen Dental ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 311 (87.36%); recommendations: 114 (32.02%). Top 3 placements: 105 (29.49%); first-place placements: 53 (14.89%).

Wording about the company: 122 positive, 188 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 36.7%. The net framing score was 0.39 (defined in Methodology).

197 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 92.11% were Top 3 and 46.49% were first-place.

Aspen Dental illustrates why reach and endorsement must be read separately. It appears in the large majority of answers, yet only a minority of those mentions also carry a recommendation. The remaining mentions are presence without recorded endorsement, which is a measured result rather than a missing observation.

Among recorded recommendations, most were shortlist placements and a substantial share were first-place. Those placement shares are nested within the recommendation base, so they refine the endorsement picture rather than adding to it.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio shows how often a company's appearances coincided with an affirmative endorsement in the recorded answers. It varies widely across companies, and a high ratio on a small mention base is less stable than the same ratio on a larger one.

Placement counts are subsets of recommendations, so shortlist and first-place figures should never be summed with recommendation totals. The ratios describe answer wording only; they say nothing about customers, sales or conversion.

Framing classifies the wording surrounding each mention as positive, neutral or negative. Most mentions in this sample are neutral or positive, with negative wording rare. Neutral wording is not a negative signal, and positive wording does not by itself explain why a recommendation was or was not recorded.

The net framing score summarizes that balance on a bounded scale. It reflects how companies were described in the selected answers, not customer sentiment, reputation or company quality, and it should not be treated as a cause of recommendation differences.

Aspen Dental

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Aspen Dental mentions, recommendations and placement?

From October 2026 to November 2026, Aspen Dental's mention count rose from 184 to 311, while its recommendation count rose from 91 to 114. The recommendation rate was 40.99% and 32.02% respectively.

Aspen Dental leads on recommendation count while appearing in most answers, giving it the broadest reach in the tracked set. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is comparatively modest, so many appearances carried no recorded endorsement. Wording was mostly neutral, with positive mentions common and negative wording essentially absent.

Month over month, both mentions and recommendations rose, while the recommendation rate fell because the answer base grew faster. That rate movement reflects the changed denominator, not a demonstrated loss of standing.

Emergency Dental Care USA

Questions This Section Answers

Emergency Dental Care USA ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 82 (23.03%); recommendations: 61 (17.13%). Top 3 placements: 59 (16.57%); first-place placements: 28 (7.87%).

Wording about the company: 61 positive, 21 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 74.4%. The net framing score was 0.74 (defined in Methodology).

21 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 96.72% were Top 3 and 45.90% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Emergency Dental Care USA's mention count rose from 34 to 82, while its recommendation count rose from 34 to 61. The recommendation rate was 15.32% and 17.13% respectively.

Emergency Dental Care USA holds second place with a recommendation profile weighted toward affirmative endorsement: roughly three in four of its mentions also carried a recommendation, and nearly all recommendations were shortlist placements. Wording was predominantly positive with no negative mentions recorded.

Both mentions and recommendations increased from the prior month, and the recommendation rate edged upward. These are recorded comparisons across separate monthly samples, not evidence of why the movement occurred.

Western Dental

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Western Dental mentions, recommendations and placement?

Western Dental ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 62 (17.42%); recommendations: 38 (10.67%). Top 3 placements: 35 (9.83%); first-place placements: 4 (1.12%).

Wording about the company: 38 positive, 23 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 61.3%. The net framing score was 0.60 (defined in Methodology).

24 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 92.11% were Top 3 and 10.53% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Western Dental's mention count rose from 32 to 62, while its recommendation count rose from 19 to 38. The recommendation rate was 8.56% and 10.67% respectively.

Western Dental ranks third, with a majority of its mentions also carrying a recommendation. Its placements cluster in the shortlist range, while first-place appearances are comparatively few, so its recommendations tend to sit lower in the ordering. Wording was mostly positive, with a single negative mention.

Mentions and recommendations both rose from the previous month, and the recommendation rate increased slightly. The comparison describes recorded results only and does not establish a cause.

1-800-Dentist

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about 1-800-Dentist mentions, recommendations and placement?

1-800-Dentist ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 26 (7.30%); recommendations: 26 (7.30%). Top 3 placements: 26 (7.30%); first-place placements: 8 (2.25%).

Wording about the company: 26 positive, 0 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 100.0%. The net framing score was 1.00 (defined in Methodology).

0 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 100.00% were Top 3 and 30.77% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, 1-800-Dentist's mention count rose from 1 to 26, while its recommendation count rose from 0 to 26. The recommendation rate was 0.00% and 7.30% respectively.

1-800-Dentist shows an unusual pattern: every recorded mention also carried a recommendation, and all recommendations were shortlist placements. Wording was uniformly positive, with no neutral or negative mentions. The mention base is small, so the perfect ratio should be read as a sparse-base result rather than a stable property.

The prior month recorded almost no mentions and no recommendations, making the shift large in relative terms. A single previous month cannot establish a first-ever result or explain the change.

Comfort Dental

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Comfort Dental mentions, recommendations and placement?

Comfort Dental ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 23 (6.46%); recommendations: 20 (5.62%). Top 3 placements: 16 (4.49%); first-place placements: 4 (1.12%).

Wording about the company: 20 positive, 3 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 87.0%. The net framing score was 0.87 (defined in Methodology).

3 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 80.00% were Top 3 and 20.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Comfort Dental's mention count rose from 21 to 23, while its recommendation count fell from 21 to 20. The recommendation rate was 9.46% and 5.62% respectively.

Comfort Dental's mentions mostly carried recommendations, and most of those recommendations were shortlist placements, with a smaller first-place share. Wording was largely positive and never negative. The mention base is modest, so the high recommendation-to-mention ratio warrants cautious reading.

Mentions rose slightly while recommendations dipped by one, and the recommendation rate fell. That movement is a recorded comparison across separate samples and does not show why the counts diverged.

Gentle Dental

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Gentle Dental mentions, recommendations and placement?

Gentle Dental ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 39 (10.96%); recommendations: 20 (5.62%). Top 3 placements: 12 (3.37%); first-place placements: 3 (0.84%).

Wording about the company: 20 positive, 19 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 51.3%. The net framing score was 0.51 (defined in Methodology).

19 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 60.00% were Top 3 and 15.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Gentle Dental's mention count fell from 45 to 39, while its recommendation count fell from 32 to 20. The recommendation rate was 14.41% and 5.62% respectively.

Gentle Dental shares fifth place on recommendation count but reaches more answers than several higher-ranked peers, so a substantial portion of its mentions carried no recorded endorsement. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is middling, and its placements lean toward the shortlist rather than first place. Wording was split between positive and neutral, with no negatives.

Mentions and recommendations both fell from the prior month, and the recommendation rate declined. The comparison is descriptive and does not attribute the change to sample size or any other cause.

Smile Generation

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Smile Generation mentions, recommendations and placement?

Smile Generation ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 19 (5.34%); recommendations: 16 (4.49%). Top 3 placements: 12 (3.37%); first-place placements: 1 (0.28%).

Wording about the company: 16 positive, 3 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 84.2%. The net framing score was 0.84 (defined in Methodology).

3 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 75.00% were Top 3 and 6.25% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Smile Generation's mention count rose from 17 to 19, while its recommendation count stayed at 16. The recommendation rate was 7.21% and 4.49% respectively. The count was unchanged: the rate difference comes from dividing it by 222 answers in October 2026 and 356 in November.

Smile Generation's mentions usually carried a recommendation, and most recommendations were shortlist placements, with first-place appearances rare. Wording was mostly positive with some neutral mentions and no negatives. The mention base is small, so the high ratio is best read alongside that qualification.

Mentions rose slightly while the recommendation count was unchanged, and the rate fell because the answer base grew. Only the count was unchanged; the rate moved with the denominator.

Sage Dental

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Sage Dental mentions, recommendations and placement?

Sage Dental ranks 8 by recommendation count. Mentions: 3 (0.84%); recommendations: 3 (0.84%). Top 3 placements: 2 (0.56%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 3 positive, 0 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 100.0%. The net framing score was 1.00 (defined in Methodology).

0 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 66.67% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Sage Dental's mention count fell from 6 to 3, while its recommendation count stayed at 3. The recommendation rate was 1.35% and 0.84% respectively. The count was unchanged: the rate difference comes from dividing it by 222 answers in October 2026 and 356 in November.

Sage Dental records a very small number of mentions, all of which carried recommendations and all of which were worded positively. Its placements were mostly shortlist, with no first-place appearances. With such a sparse base, the perfect recommendation-to-mention ratio is a fragile observation rather than a stable pattern.

Mentions fell while the recommendation count was unchanged, and the rate declined with the larger answer base. The count, not the rate, was the unchanged measure.

Great Expressions Dental Centers

Questions This Section Answers

Great Expressions Dental Centers ranks 9 by recommendation count. Mentions: 6 (1.69%); recommendations: 2 (0.56%). Top 3 placements: 1 (0.28%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 2 positive, 4 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 33.3%. The net framing score was 0.33 (defined in Methodology).

4 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 50.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Great Expressions Dental Centers' mention count fell from 8 to 6, while its recommendation count fell from 7 to 2. The recommendation rate was 3.15% and 0.56% respectively.

Great Expressions Dental Centers has a small mention base in which most appearances carried no recorded recommendation, giving it a low recommendation-to-mention ratio. Wording was mostly neutral with a couple of positive mentions and no negatives. Its single shortlist placement sits within the small recommendation count.

Mentions and recommendations both fell from the prior month, and the recommendation rate declined. These are recorded comparisons across separate samples, not evidence of a cause.

Dental365

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Dental365 mentions, recommendations and placement?

Dental365 ranks 10 by recommendation count. Mentions: 2 (0.56%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 0 positive, 2 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 0.0%. The net framing score was 0.00 (defined in Methodology).

2 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, Unavailable were Top 3 and Unavailable were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Dental365's mention count fell from 4 to 2, while its recommendation count fell from 2 to 0. The recommendation rate was 0.90% and 0.00% respectively.

Dental365 records a small number of mentions, all worded neutrally, and no recommendations at all. Its placement counts are therefore zero as well. These are valid measured zeros rather than missing observations; only ratios requiring a nonzero base are undefined for this profile.

Mentions and recommendations both fell from the prior month, reaching zero recommendations. The comparison describes the recorded results and does not explain the movement.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly table shows separate selected answer samples, each with its own answer total, so counts and rates are not directly interchangeable across months. A company's rank can shift alongside changes in its own count, in other companies' counts, or in the sample composition, and the recorded comparison does not establish which of these occurred.

Rates divide by each month's answer total, which varies. Reading counts alongside rates and coverage together gives a fuller picture than any single column, and the comparisons do not establish why results changed.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results answer several different questions at once. Reach asks how often a company appeared; recommendation asks whether an answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where within the endorsement it sat; framing asks how the wording was classified. A company can be prominent on one measure and modest on another, which is why the leaderboard alone cannot summarize the month.

Coverage shows that most answers named a tracked company but fewer than half recommended one, and that answers often recommended several companies. Placement figures nest inside recommendations, and framing describes wording rather than sentiment or quality. Read together, these measures describe the reviewed answers without explaining why any company was or was not recommended.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Emergency Dentists AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

The benchmark covers a partial set of planned question categories, and findings apply only to the answers included. The reporting month labels the period, but exact collection dates were not verified. Each company is counted at most once per answer, and a recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording.

Mention, recommendation and placement rates share the full answer total, and placement results are contained within recommendations. The recommendation-to-mention ratio and net framing describe answer wording, not customers or company quality. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without establishing its cause.
