Answer capsule

The November 2026 Dog Toys and Pet Enrichment Products benchmark compares 6 companies across 524 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Kong Company leads with 300 recommendations (57.25% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 374 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many recorded answers affirmatively recommended them. That count is not the same as reach: a company can appear in many answers without being endorsed in most of them. Ties are decided by equal recommendation counts, so near-equal totals should be read as close rather than decisive.

Mentions, recommendations, shortlist placements and first-place placements answer different questions. Placements are nested inside recommendations, so they refine where an endorsement sat rather than adding separate wins. Rates use the full answer total, which lets companies with different mention volumes be compared on a common base.

374 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 977, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but only a majority recommended one. Because a single answer can endorse several companies, company-level recommendation counts exceed the number of answers containing any recommendation. That overlap is why company totals should not be summed into a market-wide figure.

The remaining answers either recommended no tracked company or named companies outside this comparison. Coverage therefore describes how often the tracked set appeared in the reviewed answers, not how much of the wider market those companies hold.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

Kong Company ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 414 (79.01%); recommendations: 300 (57.25%). Top 3 placements: 220 (41.98%); first-place placements: 199 (37.98%).

Wording about the company: 340 positive, 74 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 72.5%. The net framing score was 0.82 (defined in Methodology).

114 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 73.33% were Top 3 and 66.33% were first-place.

Kong Company illustrates the gap between appearing and being endorsed. It was mentioned in most answers and recommended in a smaller majority, leaving a substantial block of mentions with no recorded recommendation. Reach alone would overstate affirmative support.

Among its recorded recommendations, most were shortlisted and a large share were placed first. Those placements are subsets of the recommendation count, not extra endorsements. Wording was overwhelmingly positive with no negative mentions, though framing describes the answers rather than customer opinion.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio shows how often an appearance carried an endorsement. Kong Company and West Paw sit highest on this measure, while BarkBox converts far less often. These ratios describe the recorded answers, not sales, adoption or customer conversion.

Shortlist and first-place counts are nested within recommendations. West Paw's first-place share is notably smaller than its shortlist share, so its endorsements were often present without leading the answer. Chuckit! and Nylabone show similar patterns at lower volumes.

Framing classifies the wording surrounding each mention as positive, neutral or negative. No tracked company drew negative wording in this sample, so differences come from how much wording was positive rather than from criticism. A neutral label means the answer neither praised nor disparaged the company.

BarkBox stands out for neutral wording dominating its mentions, consistent with appearing in answers without strong evaluative language. Framing is not customer sentiment, product quality or an explanation for why recommendations occurred.

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Kong Company mentions, recommendations and placement?

Kong Company ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 414 (79.01%); recommendations: 300 (57.25%). Top 3 placements: 220 (41.98%); first-place placements: 199 (37.98%).

Wording about the company: 340 positive, 74 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 72.5%. The net framing score was 0.82 (defined in Methodology).

Questions This Section Answers

Wording was largely positive with no negative mentions. The prior-month comparison records lower mentions, recommendations and recommendation rate, but the separate samples do not explain the movement.

Its placements are small in absolute terms, so the share of recommendations that were shortlisted or first should be read with that sparse base in mind. The prior-month comparison records higher mentions and recommendations, though both remain limited.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly snapshots come from separate answer samples with differing totals, so counts and rates should be read together rather than as a continuous series. A lower count in one month can accompany a similar rate, and a similar count can accompany a different rate.

Rank order was largely stable across the shown months, with one swap between adjacent positions. Stability of rank does not imply equivalent sampling or that the underlying answers were the same.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results separate four questions that are easy to conflate. Reach asks how often a company appeared; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where an endorsement sat within the answer; framing asks how the wording was classified. Each measure uses a different base, and placements are nested inside recommendations rather than added to them.

Reading them together shows that broad appearance does not guarantee endorsement, and endorsement does not guarantee a leading position. The companies differ in which of these dimensions is strongest, which is why a single ranking column cannot summarize the answers. The comparisons across months describe recorded differences between separate samples and do not identify causes.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Dog Toys and Pet Enrichment Products AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 6 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

Reliable results for July 2026 are unavailable. This is a gap in the history, not a result of zero.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

These findings cover the answers that met the benchmark rules, not every possible AI response. Coverage was partial across question categories, and the exact collection dates for the original answers were not verified. Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and one answer can endorse several companies, so company totals overlap.

Recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Rates use the full benchmark answer total, and the recommendation-to-mention ratio describes answer wording rather than customer behavior. Net framing is a wording measure, not satisfaction or quality. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without establishing why it occurred.
