Answer capsule

The November 2026 Commercial Truck Insurance benchmark compares 10 companies across 182 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. The Hartford leads with 99 recommendations (54.40% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 116 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them, not by how often they appeared. A company can be mentioned frequently yet recommended less often, so mention counts and recommendation counts answer different questions. Ties reflect equal recommendation counts and are not broken by mention volume or placement. Top-three and first-place placements are subsets of recommendations, so they should be read as position within endorsements rather than as separate wins.

116 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 363, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but only a portion recommended one. Because a single answer can recommend several companies, company-level recommendation totals exceed the number of answers carrying any recommendation. The remaining answers may still have named companies outside this comparison. Overlapping coverage therefore describes presence across answers, not overall market dominance or share of the commercial truck insurance market.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

The Hartford ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 160 (87.91%); recommendations: 99 (54.40%). Top 3 placements: 71 (39.01%); first-place placements: 34 (18.68%).

Wording about the company: 119 positive, 41 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 61.9%. The net framing score was 0.74 (defined in Methodology).

61 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 71.72% were Top 3 and 34.34% were first-place.

The Hartford leads on recommendation count, but its mentions outnumber its recommendations, meaning many appearances carried no endorsement. Mention measures appearance; recommendation measures affirmative endorsement. A high mention count with a lower recommendation count shows reach without equivalent endorsement. The gap between the two is a recorded feature of these answers, not evidence about why some mentions lacked a recommendation.

Placement describes where a recommended company appeared in an answer's ordering. Top-three and first-place counts are nested within recommendations, so they cannot be added to recommendation totals. A company recommended often but rarely placed first differs from one recommended less often but placed first more consistently. These are positions in recorded answers, not customer choices, sales or conversion outcomes.

Framing describes the wording surrounding a company in the selected answers. Positive and neutral mentions dominate, with no negative mentions recorded for any tracked company. Neutral wording is not a negative signal, and positive wording does not establish why a recommendation occurred. Net framing summarizes wording balance only; it is not customer sentiment, reputation or a measure of company quality.

Nationwide holds the second recommendation position, appearing in a majority of answers but recommended in fewer than half. Its first-place placements are a modest subset of its recommendations. Wording was mostly positive or neutral. Compared with October, both mention and recommendation counts were lower, and the recommendation rate also declined. These are separate monthly samples, so the comparison does not establish why the recorded results changed.

Travelers ranks fourth, mentioned in about half of qualified answers and recommended in fewer than a third. First-place placements are a small fraction of its recommendations, so its endorsements cluster lower in answer ordering. Wording was mostly positive with no negative mentions. Both mention and recommendation counts were lower than in October, as was the recommendation rate; the samples differ, so no cause is inferred.

Its October-to-November comparison shows lower mention and recommendation counts and a lower recommendation rate. Because the monthly samples differ, the change is reported without attributing it to sample size or any other factor.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly snapshots come from separate selected samples of AI answers, and the number of included answers differs across months. Counts, rates and ranks should be read together rather than in isolation, since a lower count can accompany a stable or changed rate. Rank movement between months describes the recorded ordering only; it does not establish rank stability, equivalent sampling or reasons for change.

What the November Rankings Show

These rankings answer several distinct questions. Reach asks how often a company appeared; recommendation asks whether an answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where an endorsement sat in the ordering; framing asks how the wording read. A company can be widely mentioned yet rarely recommended, or recommended often but seldom placed first. Reading the measures together gives a fuller picture than any single count, while the differing monthly samples and partial question coverage limit causal claims.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Commercial Truck Insurance AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 1 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 2 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. August 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

Coverage is partial: only one of three planned question categories contributed usable observations, so findings apply to the available answer set rather than the full intended scope. The reporting month labels the period, but exact collection dates were not verified. Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and top-three and first-place results are nested within recommendations. Rates use the full benchmark answer total, and the recommendation-to-mention ratio describes answer wording, not customer conversion. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without establishing why it occurred.
