Answer capsule

The November 2026 Personal Insurance benchmark compares 9 companies across 773 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Insurify leads with 538 recommendations (69.60% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 565 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by recommendation count, so it reflects affirmative endorsements in the reviewed AI answers rather than mere appearances. A company can be mentioned often yet recommended less often, and the two measures answer different questions. Ties in recommendation count share a rank; equal counts do not establish equal placement or framing. Placement figures are nested within recommendations, so they should be read as position within endorsements, not as separate wins.

565 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 2001, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Coverage describes how often the tracked companies appear across the reviewed answers. Most answers named at least one tracked company, and many recommended more than one, which is why company-level totals exceed the number of answers. This overlap means coverage is not a measure of market dominance; it shows how widely the tracked set was represented in the answers examined.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

Insurify ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 718 (92.88%); recommendations: 538 (69.60%). Top 3 placements: 400 (51.75%); first-place placements: 192 (24.84%).

Wording about the company: 573 positive, 144 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 74.9%. The net framing score was 0.80 (defined in Methodology).

180 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 74.35% were Top 3 and 35.69% were first-place.

Reach separates appearing in an answer from being affirmatively recommended. Insurify was mentioned in most answers and recommended in a large share of them, but a substantial number of mentions carried no recorded recommendation. That gap is a wording distinction within the answers, not evidence about customers, sales or conversion, and it does not explain why some mentions lacked endorsement.

Placement describes where a recommended company sat within an answer's ordering. Top-three and first-place counts are subsets of recommendations, not additions to them, so they should not be summed with recommendation totals. A company can be recommended frequently while appearing first less often, and the ordering reflects answer wording rather than consumer preference or conversion.

Framing classifies the wording surrounding each mention as positive, neutral or negative. It is not a measure of customer sentiment, reputation or company quality, and neutral wording does not indicate disapproval. Because framing and recommendation are recorded separately, a positively framed mention need not carry an endorsement, and the counts do not establish why either occurred.

Wording is overwhelmingly positive with few negative mentions. The prior-month comparison shows mentions holding steady while recommendations and the recommendation rate declined; the samples differ, so the reason is not established.

Compare.com

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Compare.com mentions, recommendations and placement?

Compare.com ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 741 (95.86%); recommendations: 533 (68.95%). Top 3 placements: 361 (46.70%); first-place placements: 80 (10.35%).

Wording about the company: 569 positive, 172 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 71.9%. The net framing score was 0.77 (defined in Methodology).

208 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 67.73% were Top 3 and 15.01% were first-place.

Compare.com ranks second by recommendation count and was mentioned in almost every reviewed answer, giving it the widest reach in the tracked set. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is high, though first-place appearances are a smaller share of its endorsements than for the top-ranked company. Wording is largely positive with no negative mentions recorded. Mentions rose from the prior month while recommendations and the rate fell, a comparison whose cause the data do not identify.

The Zebra

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about The Zebra mentions, recommendations and placement?

The Zebra ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 738 (95.47%); recommendations: 526 (68.05%). Top 3 placements: 374 (48.38%); first-place placements: 212 (27.43%).

Wording about the company: 570 positive, 167 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 71.3%. The net framing score was 0.77 (defined in Methodology).

212 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 71.10% were Top 3 and 40.30% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, The Zebra's mention count rose from 725 to 738, while its recommendation count fell from 653 to 526. The recommendation rate was 86.49% and 68.05% respectively.

The Zebra ranks third by recommendation count despite near-universal mention coverage, and its first-place appearances are the most frequent in the tracked set relative to its endorsements. That combination of broad reach and strong top placement distinguishes it from the two companies ranked above it. Wording is almost entirely positive. Mentions edged up from the prior month while recommendations and the rate declined, and the differing samples do not explain why.

Policygenius

Questions This Section Answers

From October 2026 to November 2026, Policygenius' mention count fell from 483 to 473, while its recommendation count fell from 446 to 341. The recommendation rate was 59.07% and 44.11% respectively.

Policygenius holds fourth place with moderate mention coverage and a recommendation-to-mention ratio close to the leading companies, but its placements skew lower: top-three and first-place appearances are a small fraction of its endorsements. Wording is predominantly positive. Both mentions and recommendations fell from the prior month, and the recommendation rate declined as well; the separate samples do not establish a cause.

NerdWallet, Inc.

Questions This Section Answers

From October 2026 to November 2026, NerdWallet, Inc.'s mention count rose from 245 to 279, while its recommendation count fell from 136 to 60. The recommendation rate was 18.01% and 7.76% respectively.

NerdWallet, Inc. ranks fifth with moderate mention coverage but a much lower recommendation-to-mention ratio than the four companies above it. Most of its mentions are neutral, and it carries the largest count of negative mentions in the tracked set, which pulls its net framing score well below the leaders. Mentions rose from the prior month while recommendations and the rate fell; the comparison does not explain the change.

MoneyGeek

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about MoneyGeek mentions, recommendations and placement?

MoneyGeek ranks 6 by recommendation count. Mentions: 54 (6.99%); recommendations: 2 (0.26%). Top 3 placements: 1 (0.13%); first-place placements: 1 (0.13%).

Wording about the company: 3 positive, 51 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 3.7%. The net framing score was 0.06 (defined in Methodology).

52 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 50.00% were Top 3 and 50.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, MoneyGeek's mention count rose from 51 to 54, while its recommendation count fell from 3 to 2. The recommendation rate was 0.40% and 0.26% respectively.

MoneyGeek ranks sixth with sparse mention coverage and very few recommendations, so its recommendation-to-mention ratio rests on a small base and should be read cautiously. Nearly all mentions are neutral, and its placements are minimal. The handful of endorsements includes a first-place appearance, but with so few observations that proportion is fragile. Mentions rose slightly from the prior month while recommendations stayed near zero.

Bankrate Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Bankrate Insurance mentions, recommendations and placement?

Bankrate Insurance ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 17 (2.20%); recommendations: 1 (0.13%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

From October 2026 to November 2026, Bankrate Insurance's mention count rose from 13 to 17, while its recommendation count stayed at 1. The recommendation rate was 0.13% and 0.13% respectively.

Bankrate Insurance ranks seventh with limited mention coverage and a single recorded recommendation, so its ratio and placement figures rest on a very small base and are best treated as indicative only. Wording is mostly neutral with a few positive mentions. Its one recommendation did not appear in a top-three or first-place position. Mentions rose from the prior month while the recommendation count held at one.

Insurance.com

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Insurance.com mentions, recommendations and placement?

Insurance.com shares the lowest rank with no recorded recommendations, a measured zero rather than a missing observation. It was mentioned in a modest share of answers, almost all with neutral wording and a few negative, giving it a slightly negative net framing score. Because there were no endorsements, placement counts are also zero and ratios requiring a nonzero base are undefined. Mentions and recommendations both fell from the prior month.

ValuePenguin

Questions This Section Answers

Placement counts are therefore zero, and ratios needing a nonzero base are undefined. Mentions and recommendations both fell from the prior month.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly snapshots come from separate answer samples, so counts and rates should be compared with that difference in mind. A changed rate can reflect a different mix of answers rather than a change in standing, and the data do not establish why any company's results moved. Rank shifts across months describe recorded ordering only, not verified stability or equivalent sampling.

What the November Rankings Show

Reach, recommendation, placement and framing answer different questions. Reach asks whether a company appeared; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where an endorsement sat in the ordering; framing asks how the wording was classified. A company can be widely mentioned yet rarely recommended, or frequently recommended yet seldom placed first. These measures describe the reviewed AI answers, not customers, sales or company quality, and they do not explain why any pattern occurred.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Personal Insurance AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 9 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. August 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

The benchmark covers a partial set of question categories, and findings apply only to the answers reviewed. The reporting month labels the period, though exact collection dates are unverified. Each company is counted at most once per answer, and placement results are nested within recommendations. Recommendation-to-mention ratios and net framing describe answer wording, not customer conversion or satisfaction. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without establishing cause.
