Answer capsule

The November 2026 Business Insurance benchmark compares 6 companies across 446 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Next Insurance leads with 185 recommendations (41.48% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 189 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them, not by how often they appeared. A company can be mentioned frequently yet recommended rarely, so the recommendation count and the mention rate answer different questions. Ties reflect equal recommendation counts and should be read as shared positions rather than a hidden ordering.

Placement figures sit inside the recommendation totals: first-place answers are a subset of shortlist placements, which are themselves a subset of recommendations. They should not be summed with recommendations or read as separate wins. Framing wording is a further, distinct measure of how mentions were phrased.

189 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 316, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but fewer than half recommended one. That gap is the central coverage fact: appearing in an answer is common, while an affirmative endorsement is not. Answers recommending several tracked companies mean company totals exceed the number of answers involved.

Because one answer can name multiple companies, the coverage shares describe overlapping presence rather than market share. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison, so the no-recommendation share is not a measure of the wider market.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

Next Insurance ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 437 (97.98%); recommendations: 185 (41.48%). Top 3 placements: 127 (28.48%); first-place placements: 97 (21.75%).

Wording about the company: 211 positive, 226 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 42.3%. The net framing score was 0.48 (defined in Methodology).

252 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 68.65% were Top 3 and 52.43% were first-place.

Next Insurance illustrates why reach and endorsement must be separated. It appeared in nearly every answer, yet a substantial share of those mentions carried no recorded recommendation. Mention presence therefore describes visibility in the reviewed answers, while recommendation describes an affirmative endorsement within them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio summarizes that relationship for the recorded answers only. It is not a conversion rate, a sales measure or evidence about customers. A high mention count with a moderate ratio simply means many appearances and fewer endorsements, not weaker standing.

Placement describes where a recommended company sat within an answer's ordering. Top-three and first-place counts are nested inside recommendations, so they refine the recommendation picture rather than adding to it. A company can be recommended often while rarely appearing first.

Hiscox Usa shows this contrast clearly: a solid recommendation count with comparatively few first-place placements. Embroker's smaller totals still include shortlist and first-place results. These are positional patterns in the recorded answers, not evidence of preference, conversion or competitive victory.

Framing records how a company's mentions were worded: positive, neutral or negative. It is a description of language in the selected answers, not a reputation score, customer sentiment measure or judgment of company quality. Neutral wording is common and does not imply indifference.

Most companies here drew no negative wording, which limits what the framing measure can distinguish. A positive-leaning profile does not explain why recommendations occurred or did not occur, and framing should be read alongside mention and recommendation counts rather than instead of them.

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Next Insurance mentions, recommendations and placement?

There are insufficient usable monthly observations for a prior-period comparison.

Next Insurance leads on recommendation count and appears in almost every reviewed answer, giving it the broadest reach in this sample. Its recommendations are frequently placed near the top of answers, with first-place results forming a large share of its endorsements. Framing is split between positive and neutral, with no negative wording recorded.

Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is moderate: many appearances did not carry an endorsement. That pattern describes the recorded answers, not customer behavior or company quality.

Hiscox Usa

Questions This Section Answers

Hiscox Usa ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 200 (44.84%); recommendations: 105 (23.54%). Top 3 placements: 67 (15.02%); first-place placements: 5 (1.12%).

Wording about the company: 112 positive, 88 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 52.5%. The net framing score was 0.56 (defined in Methodology).

95 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 63.81% were Top 3 and 4.76% were first-place.

There are insufficient usable monthly observations for a prior-period comparison.

Hiscox Usa holds the second recommendation count on roughly half the mention reach of the leader. Its endorsements are often shortlisted, but first-place placements are comparatively rare, so its profile is one of frequent recommendation without frequent top billing. Framing leans positive with no negative wording.

Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is higher than the leader's, meaning a larger share of its appearances carried an endorsement. This is a wording pattern in the answers, not a conversion measure.

Embroker

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Embroker mentions, recommendations and placement?

Embroker ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 36 (8.07%); recommendations: 24 (5.38%). Top 3 placements: 11 (2.47%); first-place placements: 2 (0.45%).

Wording about the company: 25 positive, 11 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 66.7%. The net framing score was 0.69 (defined in Methodology).

12 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 45.83% were Top 3 and 8.33% were first-place.

There are insufficient usable monthly observations for a prior-period comparison.

Embroker records a modest mention base and a smaller recommendation count, placing it third. Among its appearances, a relatively high share carried an endorsement, and its framing is predominantly positive with no negative wording. Shortlist placements are present but first-place results are few.

The strong ratio rests on a limited number of mentions, so it should be read as a pattern within a small base rather than a stable characteristic.

Vouch Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Vouch Insurance mentions, recommendations and placement?

Vouch Insurance ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 11 (2.47%); recommendations: 2 (0.45%). Top 3 placements: 2 (0.45%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 3 positive, 8 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 18.2%. The net framing score was 0.27 (defined in Methodology).

9 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 100.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

There are insufficient usable monthly observations for a prior-period comparison.

Vouch Insurance appears in a small number of answers and is recommended in only a fraction of them, placing it fourth. Most of its mentions are neutral in wording, with a few positive and none negative. Its two shortlist placements include no first-place results.

With so few mentions, the low recommendation-to-mention ratio is best treated as a description of a sparse sample rather than a settled pattern.

Coterie Insurance

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Coterie Insurance mentions, recommendations and placement?

Coterie Insurance ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 3 (0.67%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 2 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 0.0%. The net framing score was 0.67 (defined in Methodology).

3 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, Unavailable were Top 3 and Unavailable were first-place.

There are insufficient usable monthly observations for a prior-period comparison.

Coterie Insurance is mentioned in only a handful of answers and receives no recorded recommendations, leaving its placement counts at zero. Its few mentions are mostly positive in wording, but framing alone does not produce an endorsement under the benchmark rules.

Because no recommendations were recorded, ratios requiring a recommendation base are undefined rather than zero. The zero counts are measured results, not missing observations.

There are insufficient usable monthly observations for a prior-period comparison.

The Baldwin Group Innovation Practice records no mentions in the reviewed answers, so its recommendation, placement and framing counts are all zero. These are measured zeros rather than absent data. With no mentions, the recommendation-to-mention ratio and net framing score cannot be computed and are reported as unavailable.

This profile offers no wording evidence to interpret; it simply records absence from the selected answer set.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

Only one reporting month carries verified results here, so no month-to-month comparison is possible. The printed counts and rates describe separate monthly AI answer samples, and the sample composition differs across periods. A single snapshot cannot establish rank stability, movement or equivalent sampling.

Counts and rates should be read together: a rate depends on the answer total, while a count reflects how many answers included the company.

What the November Rankings Show

These measures answer different questions. Mention describes appearance in an answer; recommendation describes an affirmative endorsement; placement describes position within an endorsement; framing describes wording. A company can be highly visible yet rarely endorsed, or endorsed often yet seldom placed first.

The rankings order companies by recommendation count, but the surrounding measures show that reach, endorsement, position and wording do not move together. Ratios summarize the recorded answers, not customers or sales, and framing is not a quality judgment. The single-month snapshot limits any claim about change over time.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Business Insurance AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 6 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. August 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. September 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. October 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

Coverage is partial: some planned question categories contributed usable observations and others did not, so findings apply to the available answer set. The reporting month is a label, and the exact collection dates of the original AI answers have not been verified.

Each company counts at most once per qualifying answer, and one answer can name several companies, so company totals overlap. Recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Top-three and first-place results are nested within recommendations. Ratios and net framing describe answer wording, not customer satisfaction, conversion or company quality. The results are not independently verified facts about the companies.
