Answer capsule
The November 2026 Cat Food, Litter and Cat Care benchmark compares 10 companies across 583 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Tiki Cat leads with 223 recommendations (38.25% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 417 answers; some answers recommended several companies.
The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

Questions This Section Answers
- How do Cat Food, Litter and Cat Care rank by recorded AI recommendations in November 2026?
Rank | Company | Recommendations | Recommendation rate | Mention rate | Top 3 rate | #1 rate | Net sentiment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Tiki Cat | 223 | 38.25% | 60.21% | 17.67% | 6.17% | 0.70 |
2 | Dr. Elsey’s | 176 | 30.19% | 42.20% | 19.04% | 16.47% | 0.77 |
3 | Smalls | 174 | 29.85% | 40.99% | 16.64% | 12.52% | 0.79 |
4 | Weruva | 168 | 28.82% | 47.00% | 12.86% | 3.26% | 0.67 |

6 | Pretty Litter | 24 | 4.12% | 8.58% | 2.92% | 0.51% | 0.54 |
7 | Fussie Cat | 8 | 1.37% | 2.92% | 0.86% | 0.69% | 0.59 |
8 | Cat Person | 6 | 1.03% | 2.92% | 0.51% | 0.34% | 0.41 |
9 | Made by Nacho | 2 | 0.34% | 1.20% | 0.34% | 0.34% | 0.71 |
10 | KitNipBox | 1 | 0.17% | 0.51% | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.67 |
The leaderboard orders companies by how many recorded answers affirmatively recommended them. That count is not the same as reach: a company can appear in many answers without being endorsed, so mention totals and recommendation totals answer different questions. Ties in recommendation counts would share a rank; none are reported here. Placement figures are nested inside recommendations, so they refine order rather than add separate wins.

Questions This Section Answers
- How often did the November 2026 Cat Food, Litter and Cat Care answer sample recommend any tracked company?
Answer-level result | Qualified answers | Share of qualified answers |
|---|---|---|
At least one tracked company mentioned | 583 | 100.00% |
At least one tracked company recommended | 417 | 71.53% |
No tracked company recommended | 166 | 28.47% |
Multiple tracked companies recommended | 336 | 57.63% |
417 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 887, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.
Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but only a majority recommended one. A substantial share recommended several tracked companies in the same answer, which is why company-level recommendation counts sum to more than the number of answers carrying a recommendation. Overlap is expected and does not indicate market dominance. Answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison.
Reach and affirmative recommendation
Tiki Cat ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 351 (60.21%); recommendations: 223 (38.25%). Top 3 placements: 103 (17.67%); first-place placements: 36 (6.17%).
Wording about the company: 246 positive, 105 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 63.5%. The net framing score was 0.70 (defined in Methodology).
128 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 46.19% were Top 3 and 16.14% were first-place.
Tiki Cat leads on recommendation count, but its mentions outnumber its recommendations, so presence and endorsement diverge. The gap between the two measures is the point: appearing in an answer is not the same as being put forward. A tie in recommendation counts would be reported as a tie, not resolved by mention volume or framing.
Recommendation order and placement
Company | Mentions | Recommendation-to-mention ratio | Top 3 / #1 counts | Positive / neutral / negative mentions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Tiki Cat | 351 | 63.5% | 103 / 36 | 246 / 105 / 0 |
Dr. Elsey’s | 246 | 71.5% | 111 / 96 | 189 / 57 / 0 |
Smalls | 239 | 72.8% | 97 / 73 | 190 / 49 / 0 |
Weruva | 274 | 61.3% | 75 / 19 | 183 / 91 / 0 |
World’s Best Cat Litter | 162 | 64.8% | 66 / 10 | 119 / 43 / 0 |
Pretty Litter | 50 | 48.0% | 17 / 3 | 28 / 21 / 1 |
Fussie Cat | 17 | 47.1% | 5 / 4 | 10 / 7 / 0 |
Cat Person | 17 | 35.3% | 3 / 2 | 8 / 8 / 1 |
Made by Nacho | 7 | 28.6% | 2 / 2 | 5 / 2 / 0 |
KitNipBox | 3 | 33.3% | 0 / 0 | 2 / 1 / 0 |
Top-three and first-place results are subsets of recorded recommendations, not additional endorsements. A company can be recommended often while rarely placed near the top, and the reverse pattern is also possible. These placements describe where a recommendation sat in the answer's ordering; they do not measure purchasing behavior, conversion or customer preference.
Classified framing in context
Company | Positive | Neutral | Negative |
|---|---|---|---|
Tiki Cat | 246 | 105 | 0 |
Dr. Elsey’s | 189 | 57 | 0 |
Smalls | 190 | 49 | 0 |
Weruva | 183 | 91 | 0 |
World’s Best Cat Litter | 119 | 43 | 0 |

KitNipBox | 2 | 1 | 0 |
Framing classifies the wording used around a company in the selected answers. Positive wording is common, neutral wording appears throughout, and negative wording is rare but recorded for a few companies. Framing is not customer sentiment or a judgment of company quality, and it does not explain why a recommendation was or was not recorded.

Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Tiki Cat mentions, recommendations and placement?
From October 2026 to November 2026, Tiki Cat's mention count fell from 430 to 351, while its recommendation count fell from 405 to 223. The recommendation rate was 60.90% and 38.25% respectively.
Tiki Cat holds the top recommendation count, with mentions well above recommendations, so a meaningful share of appearances carried no endorsement. Positive wording dominates its mentions, with the remainder neutral. Placements sit inside its recommendations rather than beside them. The prior-month comparison shows both counts and the recommendation rate lower; the samples differ, so the recorded change is not evidence of cause.
Dr. Elsey’s
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Dr. Elsey’s mentions, recommendations and placement?
Dr. Elsey’s ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 246 (42.20%); recommendations: 176 (30.19%). Top 3 placements: 111 (19.04%); first-place placements: 96 (16.47%).
Wording about the company: 189 positive, 57 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 71.5%. The net framing score was 0.77 (defined in Methodology).
70 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 63.07% were Top 3 and 54.55% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Dr. Elsey’s' mention count fell from 247 to 246, while its recommendation count fell from 237 to 176. The recommendation rate was 35.64% and 30.19% respectively.
Dr. Elsey’s combines a high recommendation-to-mention ratio with unusually frequent first-place placement among its recommendations. Most of its mentions are positive, with the rest neutral. Its recommendation count and rate are lower than the prior month, while mentions are nearly level; because monthly samples differ, that pattern is reported without explanation.
Smalls
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Smalls mentions, recommendations and placement?
Smalls ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 239 (40.99%); recommendations: 174 (29.85%). Top 3 placements: 97 (16.64%); first-place placements: 73 (12.52%).
Wording about the company: 190 positive, 49 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 72.8%. The net framing score was 0.79 (defined in Methodology).
65 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 55.75% were Top 3 and 41.95% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Smalls' mention count fell from 308 to 239, while its recommendation count fell from 301 to 174. The recommendation rate was 45.26% and 29.85% respectively.
Smalls records a high share of mentions that also carry a recommendation, and a large portion of those recommendations are placed first. Positive wording outweighs neutral wording across its mentions. Both mention and recommendation counts, and the recommendation rate, are lower than the prior month; the comparison is descriptive only and does not establish why.
Weruva
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Weruva mentions, recommendations and placement?
Weruva ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 274 (47.00%); recommendations: 168 (28.82%). Top 3 placements: 75 (12.86%); first-place placements: 19 (3.26%).
Wording about the company: 183 positive, 91 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 61.3%. The net framing score was 0.67 (defined in Methodology).
106 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 44.64% were Top 3 and 11.31% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Weruva's mention count fell from 347 to 274, while its recommendation count fell from 314 to 168. The recommendation rate was 47.22% and 28.82% respectively.
Weruva ranks fourth by recommendation count in this month's recorded answers. It appears in a substantial share of answers, and a majority of those mentions also carry an affirmative endorsement. Wording around the company is largely positive, with the remainder neutral and none negative, so framing reads favorably without establishing why endorsements occurred.
Position within endorsements is more modest: first-place placements form a small subset of the shortlist placements, which are themselves a subset of recommendations. The prior month recorded higher mention and recommendation counts and a higher recommendation rate; that comparison is descriptive only, and the smaller totals do not establish why the figures moved.

World’s Best Cat Litter sits mid-table on recommendations, with a recommendation-to-mention ratio close to the leaders but few first-place placements relative to its top-three results. Positive wording outweighs neutral, with no negative mentions. Counts and rate are lower than the prior month; the differing samples mean the change is reported, not explained.

Pretty Litter has a modest answer footprint, and its recommendation-to-mention ratio rests on a small base, so it should be read with caution. Most of its recommendations are placed in the top three, though first-place results are few. It is one of the few companies with a negative mention recorded. Both counts rose slightly from the prior month.

Fussie Cat's counts are small, so its ratios and placement shares rest on sparse bases and invite caution. Half of its recorded recommendations were placed first, a striking share that reflects very few answers rather than broad standing. Wording is mostly positive with some neutral. Counts and rate are lower than the prior month, a comparison limited by the small totals.

Half of its recommendations reached the top three. It carries one negative mention alongside positive and neutral wording. Mentions rose from the prior month while recommendations fell, a mixed recorded pattern without an established cause.

What the November Rankings Show
These measures answer different questions. Mentions describe appearance; recommendations describe affirmative endorsement; placements describe position within an endorsement; framing describes wording. A company can be visible without being recommended, recommended without being placed first, or described positively without that wording explaining the recommendation. Read together, the sections show where reach, endorsement and ordering diverge, while the recorded month-to-month changes remain comparisons of separate samples rather than evidence of cause.
Methodology
Questions This Section Answers
- How were the November 2026 Cat Food, Litter and Cat Care AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?
This benchmark has partial coverage: 2 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 1 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.
The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.
Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.
Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.
Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):
Screening measure | Count |
|---|---|
Answers included in the benchmark | 583 |
Answers marked relevant during screening | 646 |
Answers marked reserved (screening label) | 63 |
Answers marked irrelevant during screening | 33 |
Captured answer observations | 800 |
Distinct questions | 579 |
Answer observations marked as mentioning a brand | 799 |
The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.
One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.
Monthly sample coverage:
Reporting month | Answers included | AI services covered | Services |
|---|---|---|---|
Jul 2026 | 681 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Aug 2026 | 668 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Sep 2026 | 672 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Oct 2026 | 665 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Nov 2026 | 583 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.
Coverage is partial: only some planned question categories contributed usable answers, and findings apply to the available set. The reporting month labels the period, though exact collection dates are unverified. Each company counts at most once per answer, and top-three and first-place results sit inside recommendations. Ratios and framing scores describe answer wording, not customers, sales or company quality. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without establishing why it occurred.
