Answer capsule
The November 2026 Home Security Systems benchmark compares 10 companies across 640 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. SimpliSafe leads with 546 recommendations (85.31% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 550 answers; some answers recommended several companies.
The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

- How do Home Security Systems rank by recorded AI recommendations in November 2026?
Rank | Company | Recommendations | Recommendation rate | Mention rate | Top 3 rate | #1 rate | Net sentiment |

10 | Brinks Home | 38 | 5.94% | 6.72% | 1.25% | 0.00% | 0.88 |
The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them, not by how often they appeared. A company can be mentioned frequently yet recommended rarely, so mention counts and recommendation counts answer different questions.
Ties in recommendation counts would share a rank; none are recorded here. Placement figures are nested inside recommendations, so first-place and shortlist counts should be read as subsets rather than additional wins.

Tracked-company answer coverage
Questions This Section Answers
- How often did the November 2026 Home Security Systems answer sample recommend any tracked company?
Answer-level result | Qualified answers | Share of qualified answers |
|---|---|---|
At least one tracked company mentioned | 640 | 100.00% |
At least one tracked company recommended | 550 | 85.94% |
No tracked company recommended | 90 | 14.06% |
Multiple tracked companies recommended | 548 | 85.63% |
550 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 2568, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.
Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, and most recommended one. Because a single answer can name several companies, company-level totals overlap and cannot be summed into a market share.
The answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison. Coverage therefore describes the recorded answer set, not the whole home security market.
Reach and affirmative recommendation
SimpliSafe ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 640 (100.00%); recommendations: 546 (85.31%). Top 3 placements: 520 (81.25%); first-place placements: 283 (44.22%).
Wording about the company: 551 positive, 89 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 85.3%. The net framing score was 0.86 (defined in Methodology).
94 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 95.24% were Top 3 and 51.83% were first-place.
Mention measures appearance in an answer; recommendation requires affirmative endorsement. SimpliSafe appeared in every qualified answer and was recommended in most, leaving a modest gap between the two.
That gap is a wording distinction within the recorded answers, not evidence about customers, sales or why an answer endorsed one company over another.

Wyze | 153 | 74.5% | 43 / 17 | 116 / 37 / 0 |
Arlo | 106 | 67.9% | 22 / 1 | 73 / 33 / 0 |

Brinks Home | 43 | 88.4% | 8 / 0 | 38 / 5 / 0 |
Placement describes where a recommended company sat in an answer's ordering. Shortlist placements sit inside recommendations, and first-place placements sit inside shortlists, so the counts are nested rather than additive.
A high recommendation-to-mention ratio with a small base should be read cautiously. These ratios describe recorded answer wording, not conversion or preference among buyers.
Classified framing in context
Company | Positive | Neutral | Negative |
|---|---|---|---|
SimpliSafe | 551 | 89 | 0 |
Ring Alarm | 516 | 92 | 0 |
Vivint | 389 | 108 | 14 |
Abode | 350 | 75 | 0 |
Cove | 329 | 89 | 0 |
ADT Medical Alert | 192 | 317 | 9 |

Arlo | 73 | 33 | 0 |
Frontpoint | 53 | 53 | 0 |
Brinks Home | 38 | 5 | 0 |
Framing classifies the wording used about a company as positive, neutral or negative. Neutral wording is common for some companies, and a positive-leaning profile does not by itself explain whether a recommendation followed.
Framing is not customer sentiment or a judgment of company quality. It records how the selected answers phrased their references.

SimpliSafe
Questions This Section Answers

SimpliSafe leads on recommendation count and appeared in every qualified answer. Most of its recommendations also placed it on the shortlist, and a large share put it first, giving it the strongest placement profile in this set.
Its framing was overwhelmingly positive with no negative wording. The month-to-month comparison shows lower mention and recommendation counts alongside a higher recommendation rate; the sample changed, so the movement is recorded rather than explained.
Ring Alarm
Questions This Section Answers

Ring Alarm ranks second on recommendations and was mentioned in nearly every qualified answer. Its recommendations were often shortlisted, but first-place placements were comparatively rare, so its strength lies in inclusion rather than top positioning.
Framing was largely positive with no negative wording. Both mention and recommendation counts were lower than the prior month while the recommendation rate edged up; the changed sample limits causal reading.
Vivint
Questions This Section Answers

Cove ranks fifth on recommendations with mention coverage close to Abode's. Shortlist placements were comparatively rare and first-place placements nearly absent, so its recommendations seldom carried prominent positioning.
Framing was positive with no negative wording. Unlike most peers, its mention and recommendation counts both rose from the prior month, and the recommendation rate increased; the sample differs, so no cause is inferred.
ADT Medical Alert
Questions This Section Answers

ADT Medical Alert shows a wide gap between reach and endorsement: it was mentioned in most qualified answers but recommended in a minority, and neutral framing dominated its references. Among the recommendations it did receive, shortlist and first-place shares were high.
Its prior-month counts were zero, so the current figures mark a new appearance in this comparison rather than a demonstrated trend.

The count was unchanged: the rate difference comes from dividing it by 696 answers in October 2026 and 640 in November.
Brinks Home ranks tenth on recommendations but has the highest recommendation-to-mention ratio in the set, reflecting a small base: most of its few mentions carried an endorsement. No first-place placements were recorded, and shortlist placements were limited.
Framing was almost entirely positive. Its recommendation count was unchanged from the prior month while mentions fell, so the rate rose; the smaller answer total affects the denominator.

What the November Rankings Show
Reach, recommendation, placement and framing answer different questions. Reach asks whether a company appeared at all; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where an endorsement sat; framing asks how the wording was classified. A company can be widely mentioned yet rarely endorsed, or endorsed often but seldom placed first.
Because these measures are nested and overlapping, they should be read together rather than ranked against one another. The recorded differences describe the selected AI answers, not customers, sales or company quality, and the changing monthly samples limit causal claims.
Methodology
Questions This Section Answers
- How were the November 2026 Home Security Systems AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?
This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.
The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.
Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.
Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.
Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):
Screening measure | Count |
|---|---|
Answers included in the benchmark | 640 |
Answers marked relevant during screening | 798 |
Answers marked reserved (screening label) | 158 |
Answers marked irrelevant during screening | 2 |
Captured answer observations | 800 |
Distinct questions | 538 |
Answer observations marked as mentioning a brand | 800 |
The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.
One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.
Monthly sample coverage:
Reporting month | Answers included | AI services covered | Services |
|---|---|---|---|
Oct 2026 | 696 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Nov 2026 | 640 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. August 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. September 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.
The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.
Coverage is partial: findings apply to the available answer set, and the exact collection dates were not verified. Each company is counted at most once per answer, and placement results are subsets of recommendations rather than additions.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio and net framing describe answer wording, not customer conversion, satisfaction or company quality. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without establishing why it occurred. Screening labels such as reserved are reported without inferring a reason for exclusion.
