Answer capsule

The November 2026 Healthcare and Medical Devices benchmark compares 6 companies across 342 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Abbott FreeStyle leads with 214 recommendations (62.57% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 231 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many recorded answers affirmatively recommended them. That count is not the same as reach: a company can appear in many answers without being endorsed in most of them, and placement describes where an endorsement sat within an answer rather than adding a separate win.

Ties are decided by equal recommendation counts, so near-equal totals should be read as close rather than as a clear gap. Mention, recommendation, shortlist and first-place rates share one answer denominator, and the narrower placement groups sit inside recommendations rather than beside them.

231 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 515, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every included answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but only about two-thirds recommended one. That gap is the central distinction here: appearing in an answer is a weaker event than receiving an affirmative endorsement, and the two should not be read as interchangeable measures of presence.

Multiple tracked companies were recommended in a substantial minority of answers, so company totals overlap and cannot be summed into a market total. Answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison, which limits any claim about overall coverage.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

Abbott FreeStyle ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 315 (92.11%); recommendations: 214 (62.57%). Top 3 placements: 194 (56.73%); first-place placements: 62 (18.13%).

Wording about the company: 215 positive, 100 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 67.9%. The net framing score was 0.68 (defined in Methodology).

101 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 90.65% were Top 3 and 28.97% were first-place.

Abbott FreeStyle illustrates why mention and recommendation must be separated. It appeared in nearly all answers but was affirmatively recommended in a smaller majority, leaving a meaningful block of mentions with no recorded endorsement. Reach describes visibility in the answers; recommendation describes explicit support.

Placement narrows further still. Among its recorded recommendations, most were shortlisted and a smaller group took first place, so first-place results are a subset of recommendations rather than an additional tally.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio shows how often an appearance in an answer also carried an endorsement. Ascensia CONTOUR records the highest ratio among the larger profiles, while Abbott FreeStyle and Roche Accu-Chek sit close together, and the smaller companies show similar proportions on thinner bases.

These ratios describe the recorded answers only. They are not conversion, sales or customer preference, and a high ratio on a small number of mentions should be read cautiously. Placement counts remain nested within recommendations.

Framing records the wording attached to each mention: positive, neutral or negative. Across the tracked companies, negative wording was absent and neutral wording formed a recurring minority, so most mentions carried positive framing. That pattern describes how these answers phrased references, not how customers regard the companies.

Framing is not sentiment in the survey sense and does not explain why recommendations occurred or were withheld. A positive phrase and an endorsement are separate recorded events, and the tables keep them apart.

Company results in detail

Abbott FreeStyle

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Abbott FreeStyle mentions, recommendations and placement?

From October 2026 to November 2026, Abbott FreeStyle's mention count fell from 332 to 315, while its recommendation count fell from 222 to 214. The recommendation rate was 61.16% and 62.57% respectively.

Abbott FreeStyle leads on recommendation count and appears in almost every included answer, giving it the broadest reach in this sample. Its endorsements are mostly positive in framing, with a neutral remainder and no negative wording recorded. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is moderate, so a notable share of appearances carried no endorsement.

Placement is strong but nested: most of its recommendations were shortlisted and a smaller portion took first place. The prior-month comparison shows both counts lower, with the recommendation rate slightly higher; the separate samples do not explain that movement.

Ascensia CONTOUR

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Ascensia CONTOUR mentions, recommendations and placement?

Ascensia CONTOUR ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 186 (54.39%); recommendations: 135 (39.47%). Top 3 placements: 128 (37.43%); first-place placements: 97 (28.36%).

Wording about the company: 135 positive, 51 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 72.6%. The net framing score was 0.73 (defined in Methodology).

51 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 94.81% were Top 3 and 71.85% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Ascensia CONTOUR's mention count fell from 187 to 186, while its recommendation count fell from 144 to 135. The recommendation rate was 39.67% and 39.47% respectively.

Ascensia CONTOUR ranks second by recommendation count, and a substantial share of its mentions also carried an affirmative endorsement. Wording around the company was mostly positive, with a neutral minority and no negative mentions recorded. First-place placements account for a large portion of its recommendations, though they remain a subset of those recommendations rather than a separate total.

Across the two selected monthly samples, mentions were nearly level while recommendations were lower, and the recommendation rate was close between the months. These are recorded comparisons across separate samples; they do not establish why counts or rates moved, nor do they demonstrate improvement or loss of standing.

Roche Accu-Chek

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Roche Accu-Chek mentions, recommendations and placement?

Roche Accu-Chek ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 144 (42.11%); recommendations: 97 (28.36%). Top 3 placements: 75 (21.93%); first-place placements: 4 (1.17%).

Wording about the company: 97 positive, 47 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 67.4%. The net framing score was 0.67 (defined in Methodology).

47 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 77.32% were Top 3 and 4.12% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Roche Accu-Chek's mention count rose from 143 to 144, while its recommendation count fell from 102 to 97. The recommendation rate was 28.10% and 28.36% respectively.

Roche Accu-Chek ranks third on recommendations, with a recommendation-to-mention ratio close to Abbott FreeStyle's. Its framing is mostly positive with a neutral remainder and no negative wording. The distinctive feature is placement: shortlist appearances are common among its recommendations, but first-place placements are rare, so its endorsements tend to sit lower in the recorded ordering.

Its prior-month comparison shows mentions slightly higher and recommendations lower, leaving the recommendation rate broadly similar. The samples differ, so no cause is inferred.

LifeScan OneTouch

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about LifeScan OneTouch mentions, recommendations and placement?

LifeScan OneTouch ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 69 (20.18%); recommendations: 44 (12.87%). Top 3 placements: 33 (9.65%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 45 positive, 24 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 63.8%. The net framing score was 0.65 (defined in Methodology).

25 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 75.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, LifeScan OneTouch's mention count fell from 82 to 69, while its recommendation count fell from 49 to 44. The recommendation rate was 13.50% and 12.87% respectively.

LifeScan OneTouch records a mid-table recommendation count on a smaller mention base, with a recommendation-to-mention ratio somewhat below the leading profiles. Its framing is largely positive with a neutral minority and no negative wording. Shortlist placements occur among its recommendations, but no first-place placement was recorded, so its endorsements never reached the top position in these answers.

Its prior-month comparison shows both mentions and recommendations lower, with the recommendation rate slightly down. Separate samples limit any interpretation of that change.

Trividia Health

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Trividia Health mentions, recommendations and placement?

Trividia Health ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 40 (11.70%); recommendations: 25 (7.31%). Top 3 placements: 15 (4.39%); first-place placements: 2 (0.58%).

Wording about the company: 26 positive, 14 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 62.5%. The net framing score was 0.65 (defined in Methodology).

15 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 60.00% were Top 3 and 8.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Trividia Health's mention count rose from 8 to 40, while its recommendation count rose from 3 to 25. The recommendation rate was 0.83% and 7.31% respectively.

Trividia Health records a modest recommendation count on a small mention base, and its recommendation-to-mention ratio is close to the other profiles despite the sparse numbers. Framing is mostly positive with a neutral remainder and no negative wording. Shortlist placements appear among its recommendations, and a small number took first place.

The prior-month comparison shows both mentions and recommendations higher than the previous month, with the recommendation rate rising. Because the earlier base was very small, that movement should be read as a recorded change rather than a trend.

Prodigy Diabetes Care

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Prodigy Diabetes Care mentions, recommendations and placement?

Prodigy Diabetes Care ranks 6 by recommendation count. Mentions: 1 (0.29%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 0 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 0.0%. The net framing score was 0.00 (defined in Methodology).

1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, Unavailable were Top 3 and Unavailable were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Prodigy Diabetes Care's mention count fell from 7 to 1, while its recommendation count fell from 5 to 0. The recommendation rate was 1.38% and 0.00% respectively.

Prodigy Diabetes Care records a single mention, framed neutrally, and no recommendations, shortlist placements or first-place placements. Those zeros are measured results rather than missing observations; only ratios requiring a nonzero base are undefined for this profile.

The prior-month comparison shows both mentions and recommendations lower than the previous month. With such a small base, the comparison describes recorded counts and does not establish why the change occurred.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly table shows separate selected answer samples, each with its own answer total, so counts and rates are not directly comparable across months without noting that difference. Ranks are ordered by recommendation count within each month, and a stable ordering across snapshots does not by itself demonstrate equivalent sampling or durable standing.

Where counts and rates move in different directions, the rate reflects the changing answer base as well as the count. These comparisons describe recorded results and do not establish causes.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results answer several different questions. Reach asks how often a company appeared in an answer; recommendation asks whether that appearance carried an affirmative endorsement; placement asks where an endorsement sat within the answer; and framing describes the wording around the mention. A company can be highly visible yet endorsed less often, or endorsed often yet rarely placed first.

Reading the leaderboard alone would collapse these distinctions. The coverage figures show that most answers recommended at least one tracked company while a third did not, and that multiple recommendations in one answer make company totals overlap. The profiles therefore describe recorded answer content, not customer preference, sales or company quality, and the monthly comparisons remain separate samples whose differences are not explained here.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Healthcare and Medical Devices AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 6 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

These findings cover the included benchmark answers only, drawn from several AI services for the US market. Question-category coverage was partial in the sense that not every planned category contributed, and the exact collection dates were not verified, so the reporting month is a label rather than a confirmed window.

Each company is counted at most once per answer, and recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Rates share the full answer denominator, with shortlist and first-place results nested inside recommendations. The recommendation-to-mention ratio and net framing describe answer wording, not customers, conversion or company quality, and the differing monthly samples do not establish why results changed.
