Answer capsule

The November 2026 eCommerce Websites benchmark compares 10 companies across 431 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. WooCommerce leads with 265 recommendations (61.48% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 316 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them, not by how often they appeared. A company can be mentioned frequently yet recommended less often, so the recommendation count and the mention rate answer different questions about the same answers.

Ties are ties: equal recommendation counts share a rank rather than producing a unique winner. Placement figures are nested inside recommendations, so first-place and shortlist counts are subsets, not separate wins to add to the recommendation total.

316 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 1460, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Coverage describes overlap across answers, not market share. Nearly every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, while a smaller majority recommended one. Because a single answer can name several companies, company-level totals exceed the number of answers and should not be summed as if each answer counted once.

Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison, so the uncovered share is not evidence of an empty answer.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

WooCommerce ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 419 (97.22%); recommendations: 265 (61.48%). Top 3 placements: 167 (38.75%); first-place placements: 19 (4.41%).

Wording about the company: 275 positive, 144 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 63.2%. The net framing score was 0.66 (defined in Methodology).

154 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 63.02% were Top 3 and 7.17% were first-place.

Reach and recommendation are distinct. A mention records that a company appeared in an answer; a recommendation requires affirmative endorsement. WooCommerce appeared in almost every answer but was recommended in a smaller share, leaving many mentions without a recorded recommendation.

That gap is a measured feature of the answers, not proof of weak standing or of any cause. The recommendation-to-mention ratio describes wording in these answers, not customer behavior.

Placement describes where a recommended company sat in the answer's ordering. Shortlist and first-place counts are subsets of recommendations, so they cannot be added to recommendation totals or compared as if they shared a separate base.

Ratios vary widely across companies, and where the recommendation base is small a strong ratio should be read cautiously. Ordering reflects how these answers were framed, not consumer preference or conversion.

Framing classifies the wording around each mention as positive, neutral or negative. Most mentions here are positive or neutral, with negative wording rare. Neutral wording is common for some companies, which lowers their net framing score without implying criticism.

Framing is not customer sentiment, reputation or company quality, and it does not explain why a recommendation was or was not recorded. It describes only the language in the selected answers.

Company results in detail

WooCommerce

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about WooCommerce mentions, recommendations and placement?

From October 2026 to November 2026, WooCommerce's mention count fell from 588 to 419, while its recommendation count fell from 487 to 265. The recommendation rate was 80.50% and 61.48% respectively.

WooCommerce leads on recommendation count and appears in nearly every answer, giving it the broadest reach in this sample. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio shows that a substantial share of mentions carried endorsement, though many mentions did not.

Wording is mostly positive with no negative mentions. Placements are frequent but first-place appearances are a small subset. The prior-month comparison shows lower counts and a lower rate; the samples differ, so no cause is established.

Wix

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Wix mentions, recommendations and placement?

Wix ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 402 (93.27%); recommendations: 238 (55.22%). Top 3 placements: 139 (32.25%); first-place placements: 10 (2.32%).

Wording about the company: 248 positive, 153 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 59.2%. The net framing score was 0.61 (defined in Methodology).

164 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 58.40% were Top 3 and 4.20% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Wix's mention count fell from 552 to 402, while its recommendation count fell from 449 to 238. The recommendation rate was 74.21% and 55.22% respectively.

Wix ranks near the top on recommendation count with very high mention reach. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio sits close to the field's middle, meaning endorsement followed mention in a majority but not all cases.

Framing is overwhelmingly positive or neutral, with a single negative mention. Shortlist placements are common while first-place appearances are rare. Counts and rate were higher in the prior month, but the samples are separate and the change is not explained here.

BigCommerce

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about BigCommerce mentions, recommendations and placement?

BigCommerce ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 348 (80.74%); recommendations: 236 (54.76%). Top 3 placements: 142 (32.95%); first-place placements: 17 (3.94%).

Wording about the company: 246 positive, 102 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 67.8%. The net framing score was 0.71 (defined in Methodology).

112 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 60.17% were Top 3 and 7.20% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, BigCommerce's mention count fell from 488 to 348, while its recommendation count fell from 391 to 236. The recommendation rate was 64.63% and 54.76% respectively.

BigCommerce ranks third by recommendation count in this measured set. Its mentions and recommendations appear in a majority of recorded answers, and the wording around the company is positive or neutral with no negative mentions. Recommendation-to-mention ratios describe the recorded answers, not customers, sales or conversion.

Shortlist placements are frequent and first-place appearances are a smaller subset. The previous month recorded higher mention and recommendation counts and a higher recommendation rate; that comparison is descriptive only and does not establish why the figures differed.

Shopify POS

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Shopify POS mentions, recommendations and placement?

Shopify POS ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 401 (93.04%); recommendations: 228 (52.90%). Top 3 placements: 218 (50.58%); first-place placements: 212 (49.19%).

Wording about the company: 242 positive, 159 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 56.9%. The net framing score was 0.60 (defined in Methodology).

173 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 95.61% were Top 3 and 92.98% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Shopify POS's mention count rose from 268 to 401, while its recommendation count rose from 217 to 228. The recommendation rate was 35.87% and 52.90% respectively.

Shopify POS is distinctive for placement rather than raw reach: when recommended, it is almost always shortlisted and very often placed first. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is comparatively modest, so many mentions carried no endorsement.

Framing is positive or neutral with no negatives. The prior-month comparison shows both counts and rate rising, but the monthly samples differ and no cause is inferred.

Squarespace

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Squarespace mentions, recommendations and placement?

Squarespace ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 352 (81.67%); recommendations: 217 (50.35%). Top 3 placements: 86 (19.95%); first-place placements: 5 (1.16%).

Wording about the company: 222 positive, 130 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 61.6%. The net framing score was 0.63 (defined in Methodology).

135 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 39.63% were Top 3 and 2.30% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Squarespace's mention count fell from 482 to 352, while its recommendation count fell from 387 to 217. The recommendation rate was 63.97% and 50.35% respectively.

Squarespace combines solid mention reach with a mid-range recommendation count. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is moderate, and its placements skew toward shortlist appearances rather than first place.

Framing is positive or neutral with no negative mentions. The prior month recorded higher counts and a higher rate; because the answer samples are separate, that comparison does not establish why the figures moved.

Square

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Square mentions, recommendations and placement?

Square ranks 6 by recommendation count. Mentions: 248 (57.54%); recommendations: 114 (26.45%). Top 3 placements: 27 (6.26%); first-place placements: 12 (2.78%).

Wording about the company: 117 positive, 130 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 46.0%. The net framing score was 0.47 (defined in Methodology).

134 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 23.68% were Top 3 and 10.53% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Square's mention count fell from 305 to 248, while its recommendation count fell from 259 to 114. The recommendation rate was 42.81% and 26.45% respectively.

Square sits in the middle of the ranking with moderate reach and a lower recommendation count. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is below the leaders, and shortlist placements are relatively few, though first-place appearances are not negligible.

Framing is mostly positive or neutral with a single negative mention. Counts and rate were higher in the prior month, but the samples differ and the change is reported without explanation.

Adobe Commerce (Magento)

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Adobe Commerce (Magento) mentions, recommendations and placement?

Adobe Commerce (Magento) ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 339 (78.65%); recommendations: 71 (16.47%). Top 3 placements: 18 (4.18%); first-place placements: 3 (0.70%).

Wording about the company: 72 positive, 267 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 20.9%. The net framing score was 0.21 (defined in Methodology).

268 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 25.35% were Top 3 and 4.23% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Adobe Commerce (Magento)'s mention count rose from 223 to 339, while its recommendation count fell from 127 to 71. The recommendation rate was 20.99% and 16.47% respectively.

Adobe Commerce (Magento) shows a wide gap between reach and endorsement: it appears in most answers but is recommended in a small share, giving it the lowest recommendation-to-mention ratio among the higher-reach companies.

Framing is dominated by neutral wording, which pulls its net framing score down without implying criticism. Placements are few. Mentions rose while recommendations fell versus the prior month, a mixed comparison the samples cannot explain.

Ecwid

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Ecwid mentions, recommendations and placement?

Ecwid ranks 8 by recommendation count. Mentions: 111 (25.75%); recommendations: 56 (12.99%). Top 3 placements: 10 (2.32%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 59 positive, 52 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 50.5%. The net framing score was 0.53 (defined in Methodology).

55 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 17.86% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Ecwid's mention count fell from 116 to 111, while its recommendation count fell from 104 to 56. The recommendation rate was 17.19% and 12.99% respectively.

Ecwid has limited reach and a modest recommendation count, with a recommendation-to-mention ratio near the middle of the field. Its placements are sparse and it recorded no first-place appearances in this sample.

Framing is positive or neutral with no negative mentions. Both counts and rate were lower than the prior month, but the separate samples do not establish a reason for the movement.

Big Cartel

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Big Cartel mentions, recommendations and placement?

Big Cartel ranks 9 by recommendation count. Mentions: 61 (14.15%); recommendations: 34 (7.89%). Top 3 placements: 8 (1.86%); first-place placements: 1 (0.23%).

Wording about the company: 35 positive, 26 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 55.7%. The net framing score was 0.57 (defined in Methodology).

27 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 23.53% were Top 3 and 2.94% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Big Cartel's mention count fell from 78 to 61, while its recommendation count fell from 70 to 34. The recommendation rate was 11.57% and 7.89% respectively.

Big Cartel has low reach and a small recommendation count, yet its recommendation-to-mention ratio is comparatively high, meaning endorsement followed mention fairly often when it appeared. That ratio rests on a small base and should be read cautiously.

Framing is positive or neutral with no negatives, and placements are few. Counts and rate were lower than the prior month, a comparison limited by differing samples.

Volusion

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Volusion mentions, recommendations and placement?

Volusion ranks 10 by recommendation count. Mentions: 2 (0.46%); recommendations: 1 (0.23%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

Wording about the company: 1 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 50.0%. The net framing score was 0.50 (defined in Methodology).

1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 0.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.

From October 2026 to November 2026, Volusion's mention count fell from 6 to 2, while its recommendation count fell from 3 to 1. The recommendation rate was 0.50% and 0.23% respectively.

Volusion records a minimal presence: a handful of mentions and a single recommendation, with no shortlist or first-place placements. These are measured results, not missing observations, and the tiny base makes any ratio fragile.

Framing is one positive and one neutral mention. The prior month also showed very low counts. With so few appearances, this profile supports no broader inference about the company.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

Each month is a separate sample of AI answers, and the number of included answers differs across months. Counts and rates should therefore be read together rather than as a continuous series, and a changed rank does not by itself demonstrate stability or decline.

The historical table shows recorded results only; it does not establish why any company's figures moved between months.

What the November Rankings Show

The November results answer several different questions. Reach asks how often a company appeared; recommendation asks whether the answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where an endorsed company sat in the ordering; framing asks how the wording was classified. A company can be strong on one and weak on another, as the gap between mention and endorsement for some names shows.

Because placements are nested inside recommendations and answers can name several companies, the figures overlap and should not be summed. The comparisons across months describe recorded change in separate samples, not causes, and framing is not customer sentiment.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 eCommerce Websites AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 3 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 0 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.
