Answer capsule
The November 2026 Background Checks benchmark compares 15 companies across 286 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Checkr leads with 204 recommendations (71.33% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 213 answers; some answers recommended several companies.
The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many recorded answers affirmatively recommended them. That count answers a narrower question than reach: a company can appear often without being endorsed, so mention totals and recommendation totals diverge across the table. Ties reflect equal recommendation counts, not shared wording or placement.
Placement columns are nested within recommendations rather than separate achievements. A first-place result is also a shortlist result and a recommendation, so these figures should be read as layers of the same recorded answers. Recommendation rates use the full answer total, which keeps companies comparable even when their mention volumes differ sharply.

Tracked-company answer coverage
Questions This Section Answers
- How often did the November 2026 Background Checks answer sample recommend any tracked company?
Answer-level result | Qualified answers | Share of qualified answers |
|---|---|---|
At least one tracked company mentioned | 286 | 100.00% |
At least one tracked company recommended | 213 | 74.48% |
No tracked company recommended | 73 | 25.52% |
Multiple tracked companies recommended | 200 | 69.93% |
213 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 606, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.
Coverage describes how often tracked companies appear anywhere in the reviewed answers. Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, while a smaller majority recommended one. Because a single answer can name several companies, company-level totals exceed the number of answers involved.
The gap between answers with any tracked recommendation and answers with several shows that multi-company endorsement is common in this set. Answers without a tracked recommendation are not empty of companies; they may have named firms outside the comparison. Coverage therefore measures presence within this tracked group, not overall market share.
Reach and affirmative recommendation
Checkr ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 279 (97.55%); recommendations: 204 (71.33%). Top 3 placements: 169 (59.09%); first-place placements: 135 (47.20%).
Wording about the company: 206 positive, 73 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 73.1%. The net framing score was 0.74 (defined in Methodology).
75 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 82.84% were Top 3 and 66.18% were first-place.
Reach and recommendation answer different questions. Checkr appears in nearly every qualified answer, yet a substantial portion of those appearances carried no affirmative endorsement. Mention presence shows the company surfaced in the wording; recommendation shows the answer went further and endorsed it.
The proportion of mentions that also drew a recommendation is a useful bridge between the two measures, but it describes recorded answer wording only. It does not indicate preference, purchasing behavior or conversion. Checkr's leading recommendation count and its high mention rate are related observations, not evidence that one produced the other.

Placement describes where a recommended company sat within an answer's ordering. Shortlist and first-place counts are subsets of recommendations, so they should never be added to recommendation totals. A company recommended less often can still hold a large share of its recommendations near the top.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio varies widely across the table, and small mention bases make strong ratios fragile. Justifacts and ClearStar show high ratios on very few mentions, so those figures warrant caution. Accurate Background and DISA Global Solutions show lower ratios, meaning many appearances lacked endorsement. These patterns describe wording, not customer preference.

Framing classifies the wording surrounding each mention as positive, neutral or negative. No tracked company drew negative wording in this sample, so differences lie mainly in how often mentions were positive rather than neutral. Accurate Background, DISA Global Solutions and InfoMart stand out for neutral-heavy wording relative to their mention totals.
Framing is not customer sentiment, reputation or a quality judgment. A neutral mention may simply describe a company without evaluative language. The net framing score summarizes this classification on a bounded scale, but it cannot explain why an answer endorsed a company or withheld endorsement.

Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Checkr mentions, recommendations and placement?
Checkr ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 279 (97.55%); recommendations: 204 (71.33%). Top 3 placements: 169 (59.09%); first-place placements: 135 (47.20%).
Wording about the company: 206 positive, 73 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 73.1%. The net framing score was 0.74 (defined in Methodology).
75 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 82.84% were Top 3 and 66.18% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Checkr's mention count fell from 497 to 279, while its recommendation count fell from 366 to 204. The recommendation rate was 72.62% and 71.33% respectively.
Checkr leads the recommendation count and appears in almost every qualified answer, giving it the broadest reach in the tracked set. Most of its recommendations also land in shortlist or first-place positions, a concentration that distinguishes it from companies whose endorsements cluster lower.
Its mentions are overwhelmingly positive in framing, with the remainder neutral and none negative. The recommendation-to-mention ratio shows that roughly three in four appearances carried endorsement. The prior-month comparison records lower mention and recommendation counts alongside a slightly lower recommendation rate; the samples differ, so the change is reported rather than explained.
GoodHire
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about GoodHire mentions, recommendations and placement?
GoodHire ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 229 (80.07%); recommendations: 160 (55.94%). Top 3 placements: 116 (40.56%); first-place placements: 44 (15.38%).
Wording about the company: 160 positive, 69 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 69.9%. The net framing score was 0.70 (defined in Methodology).
69 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 72.50% were Top 3 and 27.50% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, GoodHire's mention count fell from 406 to 229, while its recommendation count fell from 308 to 160. The recommendation rate was 61.11% and 55.94% respectively.
GoodHire holds the second recommendation count on a mention base smaller than Checkr's, and its recommendation-to-mention ratio is close behind the leader. Its placements lean toward the shortlist rather than first place, so a smaller share of its endorsements sit at the very top of an answer.
Framing is predominantly positive with the rest neutral and none negative. The October-to-November comparison records fewer mentions and recommendations and a lower recommendation rate. Because each month is a separate answer sample, that movement is a recorded comparison, not evidence of a cause or a change in standing.
HireRight
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about HireRight mentions, recommendations and placement?
HireRight ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 186 (65.03%); recommendations: 117 (40.91%). Top 3 placements: 79 (27.62%); first-place placements: 24 (8.39%).
Wording about the company: 119 positive, 67 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 62.9%. The net framing score was 0.64 (defined in Methodology).
69 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 67.52% were Top 3 and 20.51% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, HireRight's mention count fell from 259 to 186, while its recommendation count fell from 207 to 117. The recommendation rate was 41.07% and 40.91% respectively.
HireRight ranks third by recommendation count, with a mention base and endorsement total well below the two leaders. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is lower than theirs, meaning a larger share of its appearances lacked affirmative endorsement. First-place placements are a modest fraction of its recommendations.
Positive framing outweighs neutral wording, with no negative mentions recorded. The prior-month comparison shows lower mention and recommendation counts while the recommendation rate was nearly flat. That pattern separates volume from rate: the counts moved, the rate barely did, and the differing samples limit any inference.
First Advantage
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about First Advantage mentions, recommendations and placement?
First Advantage ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 121 (42.31%); recommendations: 70 (24.48%). Top 3 placements: 45 (15.73%); first-place placements: 17 (5.94%).
Wording about the company: 71 positive, 50 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 57.9%. The net framing score was 0.59 (defined in Methodology).
51 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 64.29% were Top 3 and 24.29% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, First Advantage's mention count fell from 204 to 121, while its recommendation count fell from 150 to 70. The recommendation rate was 29.76% and 24.48% respectively.
First Advantage ranks fourth, with recommendation and mention totals roughly half those of HireRight. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio sits below the top three, indicating that many appearances did not carry endorsement. Shortlist placements account for a majority of its recommendations, while first-place results are comparatively few.
Framing is mostly positive, with a substantial neutral share and no negative mentions. The October-to-November comparison records fewer mentions and recommendations and a lower recommendation rate. Those are recorded differences between separate samples, not demonstrated losses or causes.
Accurate Background
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Accurate Background mentions, recommendations and placement?
Accurate Background ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 116 (40.56%); recommendations: 38 (13.29%). Top 3 placements: 19 (6.64%); first-place placements: 13 (4.55%).
Wording about the company: 39 positive, 77 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 32.8%. The net framing score was 0.34 (defined in Methodology).
78 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 50.00% were Top 3 and 34.21% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Accurate Background's mention count fell from 124 to 116, while its recommendation count fell from 98 to 38. The recommendation rate was 19.44% and 13.29% respectively.
Accurate Background is distinctive for its framing: neutral wording far outnumbers positive wording, unlike the companies above it. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is markedly lower than the leaders, so most appearances did not include endorsement. Among the recommendations it did receive, a majority reached the shortlist and a notable share reached first place.
The prior-month comparison records a modest drop in mentions but a larger drop in recommendations, alongside a lower recommendation rate. With a smaller answer sample in November, the comparison is reported as recorded movement rather than attributed to sample size or any other factor.
Certn
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Certn mentions, recommendations and placement?
Certn ranks 6 by recommendation count. Mentions: 18 (6.29%); recommendations: 7 (2.45%). Top 3 placements: 3 (1.05%); first-place placements: 2 (0.70%).
Wording about the company: 7 positive, 11 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 38.9%. The net framing score was 0.39 (defined in Methodology).
11 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 42.86% were Top 3 and 28.57% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Certn's mention count fell from 38 to 18, while its recommendation count fell from 29 to 7. The recommendation rate was 5.75% and 2.45% respectively.
Certn ranks sixth on a small mention base, with few recommendations and very few top placements. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is moderate, but the sparse counts mean a single answer shifts the proportions noticeably. Neutral framing outnumbers positive wording in its mentions.
The October-to-November comparison records fewer mentions and recommendations and a lower recommendation rate. Because the base is small and the monthly samples differ, these figures are best read as recorded observations rather than a trend with an identifiable cause.
Justifacts
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Justifacts mentions, recommendations and placement?
Justifacts ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 6 (2.10%); recommendations: 4 (1.40%). Top 3 placements: 3 (1.05%); first-place placements: 1 (0.35%).
Wording about the company: 4 positive, 2 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 66.7%. The net framing score was 0.67 (defined in Methodology).
2 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 75.00% were Top 3 and 25.00% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Justifacts' mention count fell from 13 to 6, while its recommendation count rose from 0 to 4. The recommendation rate was 0.00% and 1.40% respectively.
Justifacts is notable for recording recommendations in November after none in the prior month, moving it up the ranking. Its mention base is very small, so the recommendation-to-mention ratio and placement shares rest on few observations and should be read with that fragility in mind. Most of its mentions carried positive framing.
The prior-month comparison shows a rise in recommendations alongside fewer mentions. That combination is a recorded result from separate samples; it does not establish why endorsements appeared or whether the change will persist.
DISA Global Solutions
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about DISA Global Solutions mentions, recommendations and placement?
DISA Global Solutions ranks 8 by recommendation count. Mentions: 13 (4.55%); recommendations: 3 (1.05%). Top 3 placements: 1 (0.35%); first-place placements: 1 (0.35%).
Wording about the company: 3 positive, 10 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 23.1%. The net framing score was 0.23 (defined in Methodology).
10 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 33.33% were Top 3 and 33.33% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, DISA Global Solutions' mention count fell from 18 to 13, while its recommendation count fell from 12 to 3. The recommendation rate was 2.38% and 1.05% respectively.
DISA Global Solutions records a small number of recommendations from a modest mention base, giving it one of the lower recommendation-to-mention ratios in the table. Neutral framing dominates its mentions, with positive wording much less common. Its single shortlist placement is also its single first-place result.
The October-to-November comparison records fewer mentions and recommendations and a lower recommendation rate. With so few observations, small absolute changes produce large proportional shifts, and the differing monthly samples limit interpretation.
ClearStar
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about ClearStar mentions, recommendations and placement?
ClearStar ranks 9 by recommendation count. Mentions: 3 (1.05%); recommendations: 2 (0.70%). Top 3 placements: 2 (0.70%); first-place placements: 1 (0.35%).
Wording about the company: 2 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 66.7%. The net framing score was 0.67 (defined in Methodology).
1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 100.00% were Top 3 and 50.00% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, ClearStar's mention count stayed at 3, while its recommendation count fell from 3 to 2. The recommendation rate was 0.60% and 0.70% respectively.
ClearStar records a handful of mentions and recommendations, with most of its recommendations reaching the shortlist and one reaching first place. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio is high, but the base is so small that the figure is fragile and should not be read as a stable pattern.
Framing is mostly positive with one neutral mention and none negative. The prior-month comparison records an unchanged mention count alongside one fewer recommendation. Mention stability and recommendation movement are separate observations, and neither establishes a cause.
PreCheck
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about PreCheck mentions, recommendations and placement?
PreCheck ranks 10 by recommendation count. Mentions: 2 (0.70%); recommendations: 1 (0.35%). Top 3 placements: 1 (0.35%); first-place placements: 1 (0.35%).
Wording about the company: 1 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 50.0%. The net framing score was 0.50 (defined in Methodology).
1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 100.00% were Top 3 and 100.00% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, PreCheck's mention count fell from 5 to 2, while its recommendation count fell from 5 to 1. The recommendation rate was 0.99% and 0.35% respectively.
PreCheck records very few mentions and a single recommendation, which also reached first place. Its recommendation-to-mention ratio rests on a tiny base, so the proportion is illustrative of the recorded answers rather than a reliable pattern. Framing splits evenly between positive and neutral, with no negative wording.
The October-to-November comparison records fewer mentions and recommendations and a lower recommendation rate. With counts this small, each answer carries substantial weight, and the separate monthly samples do not support causal reading.
Asurint
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Asurint mentions, recommendations and placement?
Asurint ranks 11 by recommendation count. Mentions: 1 (0.35%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).
Wording about the company: 0 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 0.0%. The net framing score was 0.00 (defined in Methodology).
1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, Unavailable were Top 3 and Unavailable were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Asurint's mention count stayed at 1, while its recommendation count stayed at 0. The recommendation rate was 0.00% and 0.00% respectively.
Asurint records a single mention and no recommendations, so its placement counts are zero and its recommendation-to-mention ratio is a measured zero rather than a missing value. The lone mention carried neutral framing. Ratios requiring a nonzero recommendation base are undefined here.
The prior-month comparison records an unchanged mention count and an unchanged recommendation count of zero. That stability describes the recorded answers only and does not indicate anything about the company beyond this sample.
InfoMart
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about InfoMart mentions, recommendations and placement?
InfoMart ranks 11 by recommendation count. Mentions: 3 (1.05%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

From October 2026 to November 2026, InfoMart's mention count fell from 11 to 3, while its recommendation count fell from 2 to 0. The recommendation rate was 0.40% and 0.00% respectively.
InfoMart records a few mentions and no recommendations, leaving its placement counts at zero. All of its mentions carried neutral framing, so no positive or negative wording was classified. The recommendation-to-mention ratio is a measured zero, and recommendation-based shares are undefined.
The October-to-November comparison records fewer mentions and a recommendation count that fell to zero. With such small counts, the movement is a recorded observation from separate samples rather than evidence of a cause or a durable shift.
SecurTest
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about SecurTest mentions, recommendations and placement?
SecurTest ranks 11 by recommendation count. Mentions: 0 (0.00%); recommendations: 0 (0.00%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).

From October 2026 to November 2026, SecurTest's mention count stayed at 0, while its recommendation count stayed at 0. The recommendation rate was 0.00% and 0.00% respectively.
SecurTest records no mentions and no recommendations in this sample, so every count is a measured zero and the recommendation-to-mention ratio is undefined because the base is zero. No framing was classified, leaving the net framing score unavailable rather than neutral.
The prior-month comparison records zero mentions and zero recommendations in both months. This is a valid measured result for the reviewed answers, not a missing observation, and it says nothing about the company outside this answer set.

Universal Background Screening records a single mention and no recommendations, so its placement counts are zero and its recommendation-to-mention ratio is a measured zero. The lone mention carried neutral framing, with no positive or negative wording classified.
The October-to-November comparison records fewer mentions and a recommendation count that fell to zero. With one observation in the current month, the figures are fragile, and the separate samples do not establish why the counts changed.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.
The monthly table shows separate selected answer samples, each with its own answer total, so counts and rates are not directly interchangeable across months. A lower count can accompany a stable or higher rate, and a changed rate does not by itself demonstrate improvement, decline or intervention success.
Rank positions in earlier months come from those separate samples. The current ordering should be read alongside the printed counts and rates rather than as a continuous series, and no single prior month establishes a first-ever result or a durable trend.

What the November Rankings Show
The November results answer several distinct questions. Reach shows which companies surfaced in the reviewed answers; recommendation shows which drew affirmative endorsement; placement shows where endorsed companies sat within an answer's ordering; framing classifies the wording around each mention. No single column captures all four.
Reading them together matters because a company can be widely mentioned yet rarely endorsed, or endorsed often yet placed lower. Nested placement counts and recommendation-to-mention ratios describe recorded answer wording, not customers, sales or conversion. The differing monthly samples further limit comparison, so the rankings are best treated as a snapshot of these answers rather than a verdict on company quality.
Methodology
Questions This Section Answers
- How were the November 2026 Background Checks AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?
This benchmark has partial coverage: 1 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 2 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.
The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.
Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.
Market: US; 15 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.
Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):
Screening measure | Count |
|---|---|
Answers included in the benchmark | 286 |
Answers marked relevant during screening | 291 |
Answers marked reserved (screening label) | 5 |
Answers marked irrelevant during screening | 194 |
Captured answer observations | 800 |
Distinct questions | 502 |
Answer observations marked as mentioning a brand | 800 |
The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of โreservedโ; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.
One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.
Monthly sample coverage:
Reporting month | Answers included | AI services covered | Services |
|---|---|---|---|
Jul 2026 | 503 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Aug 2026 | 539 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Sep 2026 | 513 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Oct 2026 | 504 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Nov 2026 | 286 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.
Coverage is partial: only one planned question category contributed usable observations, so findings apply to the available answer set rather than the full intended scope. The reporting month labels the period, but exact collection dates were not verified, and the monthly samples differ in size.
Each company counts at most once per answer, and one answer can mention or recommend several companies, so company totals overlap. Recommendation requires affirmative endorsement plus positive wording. Placement results are nested within recommendations. Net framing summarizes classified wording and is not customer satisfaction or company quality. The results describe the reviewed AI answers, not independently verified facts about the companies.
