Recommendation Placement Snapshot
Coverage alone does not show how prominently a brand is recommended. Placement among the top three and at rank one reveals how often a brand is surfaced as a primary option versus merely included in a list.
Brand | Aug 2026 top-three rate | Aug 2026 rank-one rate | Jul 2026 top-three rate | Jul 2026 rank-one rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Procore | 55.5% | 46.3% | 55.1% | 46.9% |
Buildertrend | 48.3% | 4.6% | 47.9% | 6.2% |
Autodesk Construction Cloud | 40.7% | 5.6% | 36.7% | 1.8% |
Close coverage can still hide very different first-position rates. Procore and Buildertrend hold similar top-three rates, but Procore's rank-one rate of 46.3% far exceeds Buildertrend's 4.6%.

Evidence and Source Layer
The benchmark is built from prompt-level observations that retain the query, AI/search surface, answer, brand outcome, recommendation placement, sentiment, and, where exposed, citations or attributable evidence sources. Each observation preserves the full context of how a brand was surfaced or not surfaced in response to a given question. Source presence is evidence about the information environment. It is not automatically proof that the source caused the recommendation.
Scope Boundaries
This public benchmark does not measure:
- Market share or commercial performance
- Attributable sales or conversions from AI recommendations
- Every possible AI response, including private or organization-specific model instances
- Organic search ranking positions
- Social media mention volume or sentiment
- Private or sponsored channel behavior
- Causality from a metric movement alone
