Answer capsule

The November 2026 Online Pharmacies benchmark compares 10 companies across 542 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. Amazon Pharmacy leads with 385 recommendations (71.03% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 405 answers; some answers recommended several companies.

The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

The leaderboard orders companies by how many recorded answers affirmatively recommended them. That count is not the same as how often a company appeared: a mention can occur without endorsement, and a recommendation can occur without a leading position. Ties in recommendation counts would share a rank, so adjacent ranks do not always imply a strict ordering.

Placements sit inside recommendations rather than beside them. A first-place result is a subset of shortlist placements, which are themselves a subset of recommendations. Reading the columns separately keeps reach, endorsement and position distinct.

405 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 1664, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.

Every qualified answer mentioned at least one tracked company, but only about three in four recommended one. Because a single answer can endorse several companies, company-level recommendation counts sum to more than the number of answers carrying any recommendation. That overlap is expected and does not indicate market dominance.

The remaining answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison, so the coverage figures describe this tracked set only.

Reach and affirmative recommendation

Amazon Pharmacy ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 542 (100.00%); recommendations: 385 (71.03%). Top 3 placements: 312 (57.56%); first-place placements: 207 (38.19%).

Wording about the company: 408 positive, 134 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 71.0%. The net framing score was 0.75 (defined in Methodology).

157 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 81.04% were Top 3 and 53.77% were first-place.

Amazon Pharmacy appeared in every qualified answer, yet roughly seven in ten of those mentions also carried an affirmative recommendation. The gap between appearance and endorsement is the central distinction here: being named is not the same as being put forward.

Placement figures are nested within the recommendation count, so shortlist and first-place results describe where endorsements landed rather than adding new wins.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio shows how often an appearance in an answer also carried an affirmative endorsement. A high ratio on a modest mention base can look striking, so it should be read alongside the underlying counts rather than as a standalone signal of strength.

Shortlist and first-place counts are subsets of recommendations, not separate achievements. Placement describes position within an endorsement, not customer choice or conversion.

Framing records how the selected answers worded each company: positive, neutral or negative. Most mentions here were positive or neutral, with negative wording rare. That pattern describes the reviewed text, not customer sentiment, reputation or company quality.

Positive wording does not explain why a recommendation was or was not recorded. Framing and recommendation are separate measurements, and neither establishes the other's cause.

Questions This Section Answers

  • What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Amazon Pharmacy mentions, recommendations and placement?

Amazon Pharmacy ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 542 (100.00%); recommendations: 385 (71.03%). Top 3 placements: 312 (57.56%); first-place placements: 207 (38.19%).

Its placements skew toward the front of recommendations, with first-place results forming a large share of its endorsements. Wording was mostly positive with no negative mentions.

Compared with the prior month, mentions fell while recommendations rose, so the recommendation rate increased. The samples differ between months, and the recorded change does not establish why it occurred.

CVS Pharmacy

Questions This Section Answers

Its placements lean toward shortlist positions, and first-place results are a smaller portion of its recommendations. Wording was more often neutral than for several peers, with a few negative mentions.

Mentions fell from the prior month while recommendations rose, lifting the recommendation rate. Because monthly samples differ, the comparison shows recorded change without explaining it.

Express Scripts

Questions This Section Answers

Mentions fell from the prior month while recommendations rose, raising the recommendation rate. That recorded shift should not be read as evidence of a cause.

Wording was almost entirely positive.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.

The monthly snapshots come from separate answer samples, so counts and rates are not directly interchangeable across months. A company's rank can move because its own recorded results changed, because other companies' results changed, or both.

Smaller answer totals in a given month do not establish why any company's counts or rates moved. The comparisons show recorded change only, without attributing cause.

What the November Rankings Show

These sections answer different questions. Reach asks how often a company appeared; recommendation asks how often an answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement asks where within an endorsement it landed; framing asks how the wording was classified. None of these substitutes for another.

A company can appear widely yet be endorsed less often, or be endorsed consistently on a narrower base. Placement is nested inside recommendation, so shortlist and first-place figures refine rather than add to the endorsement count. Framing describes wording, not customer sentiment or company quality.

The monthly comparisons show recorded shifts across separate samples. They do not establish why counts or rates changed, nor do they demonstrate improvement, loss of standing or the effect of any intervention.

Methodology

Questions This Section Answers

  • How were the November 2026 Online Pharmacies AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?

This benchmark has partial coverage: 2 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 1 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.

The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.

Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.

The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.

Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.

Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):

The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.

One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.

July 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison. August 2026 measured a different set of companies, so it is excluded from this comparison.

The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.

Coverage is partial: only some planned question categories contributed usable answers, and findings apply to that available set. The reporting month labels the period, but exact collection dates were not verified. Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and one answer can mention or recommend several companies.

Rates use the full benchmark answer total, and placement results are included within recommendations. The recommendation-to-mention ratio and net framing describe answer wording, not customers, sales or company quality. Monthly samples differ, so comparisons show recorded change without explaining it.
