Answer capsule
The November 2026 Online Estate Planning and Wills benchmark compares 10 companies across 298 AI answers that met its inclusion rules. LegalZoom leads with 253 recommendations (84.90% of answers). At least one tracked company was recommended in 259 answers; some answers recommended several companies.
The rankings distinguish being mentioned from receiving an affirmative recommendation, then examine placement and the wording used about each company. Earlier monthly results show how counts and rates changed, with each month using its own answer total. These results describe the answers reviewed, not product quality or customer satisfaction. Differences between monthly samples limit comparisons and do not establish why a result changed.

Questions This Section Answers
- How do Online Estate Planning and Wills rank by recorded AI recommendations in November 2026?
Rank | Company | Recommendations | Recommendation rate | Mention rate | Top 3 rate | #1 rate | Net sentiment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | LegalZoom | 253 | 84.90% | 99.33% | 77.18% | 28.19% | 0.85 |
2 | Trust & Will | 250 | 83.89% | 96.98% | 79.87% | 36.24% | 0.87 |
3 | Quicken WillMaker & Trust | 221 | 74.16% | 79.87% | 52.68% | 3.69% | 0.93 |
4 | FreeWill | 194 | 65.10% | 71.81% | 26.85% | 15.10% | 0.91 |
5 | Rocket Lawyer | 183 | 61.41% | 69.46% | 8.39% | 0.34% | 0.88 |
6 | GoodTrust | 41 | 13.76% | 16.44% | 0.67% | 0.00% | 0.84 |
7 | Fabric | 14 | 4.70% | 5.03% | 2.68% | 0.34% | 0.93 |
8 | Tomorrow | 6 | 2.01% | 2.35% | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.86 |
9 | Wealth.com | 1 | 0.34% | 8.05% | 0.00% | 0.00% | 0.08 |
9 | Willing | 1 | 0.34% | 5.70% | 0.34% | 0.00% | 0.06 |
The leaderboard orders companies by how many answers affirmatively recommended them, so it measures recorded endorsement rather than general visibility. A company can appear often yet be recommended rarely, and the two readings should not be merged.
Ties reflect equal recommendation counts, not shared placement or framing. Placement figures sit inside recommendations, so first-place counts are a subset of shortlist placements, which are themselves a subset of recommendations. Reading the columns separately avoids treating one as a second win.

Tracked-company answer coverage
Questions This Section Answers
- How often did the November 2026 Online Estate Planning and Wills answer sample recommend any tracked company?
Answer-level result | Qualified answers | Share of qualified answers |
|---|---|---|
At least one tracked company mentioned | 298 | 100.00% |
At least one tracked company recommended | 259 | 86.91% |
No tracked company recommended | 39 | 13.09% |
Multiple tracked companies recommended | 258 | 86.58% |
259 distinct answers recommended at least one tracked company. Counting each company recommendation separately gives 1164, because an answer can recommend several companies. Answers with no tracked recommendation may still have recommended companies outside this comparison.
Coverage describes how often tracked companies appear across the reviewed answers. Nearly every answer mentioned at least one tracked company, and most recommended at least one, but these are overlapping answer-level results rather than a market share.
Because a single answer can name several companies, company totals exceed the number of answers. The answers without a tracked recommendation may still have named companies outside this comparison, so the gap is not evidence of an empty answer.
Reach and affirmative recommendation
LegalZoom ranks 1 by recommendation count. Mentions: 296 (99.33%); recommendations: 253 (84.90%). Top 3 placements: 230 (77.18%); first-place placements: 84 (28.19%).
Wording about the company: 253 positive, 42 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 85.5%. The net framing score was 0.85 (defined in Methodology).
43 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 90.91% were Top 3 and 33.20% were first-place.
Reach and recommendation answer different questions. LegalZoom appeared in almost every reviewed answer, yet a portion of those mentions carried no affirmative endorsement, so presence alone overstates recommendation.
Where two companies share a recommendation count, the ranking shows a tie rather than a unique winner. The recommendation-to-mention ratio describes how often a mention was paired with endorsement in the recorded answers; it is not a customer conversion measure.

Willing | 17 | 5.9% | 1 / 0 | 1 / 16 / 0 |
Placement records where a recommended company sat in the answer's ordering. Shortlist placements and first-place placements are nested within recommendations, so they should not be summed with recommendation counts or read as separate wins.
Ratios vary widely across companies with similar recommendation totals, which shows that being recommended and being placed near the top are distinct outcomes. These positions describe answer wording, not consumer preference or purchasing behavior.
Classified framing in context
Company | Positive | Neutral | Negative |
|---|---|---|---|
LegalZoom | 253 | 42 | 1 |
Trust & Will | 250 | 39 | 0 |
Quicken WillMaker & Trust | 221 | 17 | 0 |
FreeWill | 194 | 20 | 0 |
Rocket Lawyer | 183 | 23 | 1 |
GoodTrust | 41 | 8 | 0 |

Wealth.com | 2 | 22 | 0 |
Willing | 1 | 16 | 0 |
Framing classifies the wording used around each company in the selected answers. Positive wording dominates for most tracked companies, with neutral wording forming the remainder and negative wording rare.
Framing is not customer sentiment, reputation or a measure of company quality, and it does not explain why a recommendation was or was not recorded. A neutral mention can still accompany an endorsement, so the framing counts and recommendation counts should be read side by side rather than substituted for one another.
Company results in detail
LegalZoom
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about LegalZoom mentions, recommendations and placement?
From October 2026 to November 2026, LegalZoom's mention count fell from 308 to 296, while its recommendation count rose from 239 to 253. The recommendation rate was 73.77% and 84.90% respectively.
LegalZoom leads on recommendation count while appearing in nearly every reviewed answer, giving it the broadest reach in this sample. Its mentions are overwhelmingly positive, with a small neutral remainder and a single negative mention.
Most of its recommendations also landed in the top three, and roughly a third took first place. A minority of mentions carried no endorsement, so reach exceeded recommendation. The prior month showed fewer mentions but more recommendations, a mixed movement the data do not explain.
Trust & Will
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Trust & Will mentions, recommendations and placement?
Trust & Will ranks 2 by recommendation count. Mentions: 289 (96.98%); recommendations: 250 (83.89%). Top 3 placements: 238 (79.87%); first-place placements: 108 (36.24%).
Wording about the company: 250 positive, 39 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 86.5%. The net framing score was 0.87 (defined in Methodology).
39 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 95.20% were Top 3 and 43.20% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Trust & Will's mention count fell from 300 to 289, while its recommendation count rose from 235 to 250. The recommendation rate was 72.53% and 83.89% respectively.
Trust & Will sits just behind the leader on recommendation count, with similarly wide reach and almost entirely positive framing. Its shortlist and first-place placements are proportionally strong, and its recommendation-to-mention ratio is slightly higher than LegalZoom's.
A modest share of its mentions lacked an endorsement. Compared with the prior month, mentions declined while recommendations rose, so the two measures moved in opposite directions; the recorded comparison does not establish why.
Quicken WillMaker & Trust
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Quicken WillMaker & Trust mentions, recommendations and placement?
Quicken WillMaker & Trust ranks 3 by recommendation count. Mentions: 238 (79.87%); recommendations: 221 (74.16%). Top 3 placements: 157 (52.68%); first-place placements: 11 (3.69%).
Wording about the company: 221 positive, 17 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 92.9%. The net framing score was 0.93 (defined in Methodology).
17 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 71.04% were Top 3 and 4.98% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Quicken WillMaker & Trust's mention count rose from 194 to 238, while its recommendation count rose from 184 to 221. The recommendation rate was 56.79% and 74.16% respectively.
Quicken WillMaker & Trust appears in most recorded answers and is affirmatively endorsed in a large majority of them, so its recommendation count sits near its mention count. Wording around it is overwhelmingly positive, with neutral phrasing rare and no negative framing recorded. Shortlist placements are frequent, while first-place placements form a much smaller subset.
The profile's defining feature is that gap: the company is often endorsed without being ranked first. Both mentions and recommendations were higher than in the previous month, and the recommendation rate also rose. Those are separate selected samples, so the comparison does not establish why the counts or rate changed.
FreeWill
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about FreeWill mentions, recommendations and placement?
FreeWill ranks 4 by recommendation count. Mentions: 214 (71.81%); recommendations: 194 (65.10%). Top 3 placements: 80 (26.85%); first-place placements: 45 (15.10%).
Wording about the company: 194 positive, 20 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 90.7%. The net framing score was 0.91 (defined in Methodology).
20 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 41.24% were Top 3 and 23.20% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, FreeWill's mention count fell from 217 to 214, while its recommendation count rose from 180 to 194. The recommendation rate was 55.56% and 65.10% respectively.
FreeWill pairs a high recommendation-to-mention ratio with moderate reach, and its framing is almost entirely positive. Its shortlist placements are meaningful, and first-place placements form a notable portion of its recommendations.
Its placement profile is more top-heavy than several larger rivals, meaning endorsement often came with a high position. Mentions dipped slightly while recommendations rose versus the prior month, a mixed movement the recorded data do not explain.
Rocket Lawyer
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Rocket Lawyer mentions, recommendations and placement?
Rocket Lawyer ranks 5 by recommendation count. Mentions: 207 (69.46%); recommendations: 183 (61.41%). Top 3 placements: 25 (8.39%); first-place placements: 1 (0.34%).
Wording about the company: 183 positive, 23 neutral, 1 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 88.4%. The net framing score was 0.88 (defined in Methodology).
24 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 13.66% were Top 3 and 0.55% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Rocket Lawyer's mention count rose from 163 to 207, while its recommendation count rose from 141 to 183. The recommendation rate was 43.52% and 61.41% respectively.
Rocket Lawyer shows strong reach and a high recommendation-to-mention ratio, with mostly positive framing and a single negative mention. Its shortlist placements are comparatively few, and first-place placements are nearly absent.
This makes it a frequent endorsement that rarely sits near the top of an answer's ordering. Both mentions and recommendations increased from the prior month, but the separate samples do not establish a cause for the shift.
GoodTrust
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about GoodTrust mentions, recommendations and placement?
GoodTrust ranks 6 by recommendation count. Mentions: 49 (16.44%); recommendations: 41 (13.76%). Top 3 placements: 2 (0.67%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).
Wording about the company: 41 positive, 8 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 83.7%. The net framing score was 0.84 (defined in Methodology).
8 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 4.88% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, GoodTrust's mention count rose from 38 to 49, while its recommendation count rose from 37 to 41. The recommendation rate was 11.42% and 13.76% respectively.
GoodTrust appears in a modest share of answers and is recommended in most of those mentions, with entirely positive or neutral framing and no negative wording. Shortlist placements are rare and first-place placements are absent.
Its recommendation rate is low relative to the leading companies because its reach is limited, not because its mentions go unendorsed. Both mentions and recommendations rose slightly from the prior month, a comparison the data describe without explaining.
Fabric
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Fabric mentions, recommendations and placement?
Fabric ranks 7 by recommendation count. Mentions: 15 (5.03%); recommendations: 14 (4.70%). Top 3 placements: 8 (2.68%); first-place placements: 1 (0.34%).
Wording about the company: 14 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 93.3%. The net framing score was 0.93 (defined in Methodology).
1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 57.14% were Top 3 and 7.14% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Fabric's mention count fell from 22 to 15, while its recommendation count fell from 15 to 14. The recommendation rate was 4.63% and 4.70% respectively.
Fabric has a small answer footprint, but nearly all of its mentions carried an endorsement, and its framing is almost entirely positive. Shortlist placements account for a majority of its recommendations, with a single first-place placement.
Because the base is small, the strong recommendation-to-mention ratio should be read with caution; a few answers can shift it noticeably. Mentions and recommendations both declined from the prior month, and the recorded comparison does not establish why.
Tomorrow
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Tomorrow mentions, recommendations and placement?
Tomorrow ranks 8 by recommendation count. Mentions: 7 (2.35%); recommendations: 6 (2.01%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).
Wording about the company: 6 positive, 1 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 85.7%. The net framing score was 0.86 (defined in Methodology).
1 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 0.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Tomorrow's mention count rose from 6 to 7, while its recommendation count stayed at 6. The recommendation rate was 1.85% and 2.01% respectively. The count was unchanged: the rate difference comes from dividing it by 324 answers in October 2026 and 298 in November.
Tomorrow appears in very few answers and is recommended in most of them, with positive or neutral framing and no negative wording. It recorded no shortlist or first-place placements, so its endorsements never sat near the top of an answer's ordering.
Given the sparse base, the ratio is fragile and should be read alongside the small counts. Mentions edged up while recommendations held steady versus the prior month; the rate difference reflects the changed answer total, not a change in the count.
Wealth.com
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Wealth.com mentions, recommendations and placement?
Wealth.com ranks 9 by recommendation count. Mentions: 24 (8.05%); recommendations: 1 (0.34%). Top 3 placements: 0 (0.00%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).
Wording about the company: 2 positive, 22 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 4.2%. The net framing score was 0.08 (defined in Methodology).
23 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 0.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Wealth.com's mention count rose from 2 to 24, while its recommendation count stayed at 1. The recommendation rate was 0.31% and 0.34% respectively. The count was unchanged: the rate difference comes from dividing it by 324 answers in October 2026 and 298 in November.
Wealth.com is mentioned in a modest share of answers but almost never recommended, and its framing is overwhelmingly neutral. It recorded no shortlist or first-place placements.
The low recommendation-to-mention ratio rests on a small number of endorsements, so it should be read with that qualification. Mentions rose sharply from the prior month while recommendations held at one; the rate difference reflects the changed answer total, and the data do not explain the mention increase.
Willing
Questions This Section Answers
- What do the November 2026 AI answer results show about Willing mentions, recommendations and placement?
Willing ranks 9 by recommendation count. Mentions: 17 (5.70%); recommendations: 1 (0.34%). Top 3 placements: 1 (0.34%); first-place placements: 0 (0.00%).
Wording about the company: 1 positive, 16 neutral, 0 negative mentions. The proportion of mentions that also included a recommendation was 5.9%. The net framing score was 0.06 (defined in Methodology).
16 mentions had no recorded recommendation. Of recorded recommendations, 100.00% were Top 3 and 0.00% were first-place.
From October 2026 to November 2026, Willing's mention count rose from 1 to 17, while its recommendation count rose from 0 to 1. The recommendation rate was 0.00% and 0.34% respectively.
Willing appears in a small share of answers and is recommended in very few, with framing that is almost entirely neutral. It recorded a single shortlist placement and no first-place placements.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio rests on one endorsement, so it is fragile and should be read with that caveat. Mentions rose from the prior month while recommendations moved from zero to one; the recorded comparison does not establish why.

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.
The monthly snapshots are separate samples of AI answers, each with its own answer total, so counts and rates are not directly interchangeable across months. A higher count in one month does not by itself show a company gained or lost standing.
Rank positions shift between months, and some companies hold steady while others move. These are recorded comparisons only; the data do not establish why any count, rate or rank changed, and a single prior month is not evidence of a lasting trend.

What the November Rankings Show
The November results answer several distinct questions. Reach shows how often a company appeared; recommendation shows how often an answer affirmatively endorsed it; placement shows where an endorsement sat in the ordering; framing describes the wording used. None of these substitutes for another.
A company can be widely mentioned yet rarely recommended, or frequently recommended yet seldom placed first. Ties reflect equal recommendation counts, and nested placement subsets should not be added to recommendation totals. Framing is not customer sentiment, and the ratios describe recorded answers rather than sales or conversion.
Methodology
Questions This Section Answers
- How were the November 2026 Online Estate Planning and Wills AI visibility measures counted, and what do they not establish?
This benchmark has partial coverage: 2 of 3 planned question categories contributed usable observations; 1 contributed none. This describes question-category coverage, not demonstrated platform outages. Findings apply to the available answer set.
The month in the title is the reporting period. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified.
Each company is counted at most once in each answer that meets the benchmark rules. A recommendation requires both an affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation, Top 3 and first-place rates use the full benchmark answer total. Top 3 and first-place results are included within recommendations, not added to them.
The recommendation-to-mention ratio divides recommendations by mentions. It describes AI answer wording, not customer conversion. Net framing is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all mentions, on a scale from -1 to +1. It does not measure customer satisfaction or company quality.
Market: US; 10 tracked companies. AI services represented: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.
Research screening totals (answer observations can include repeated questions):
Screening measure | Count |
|---|---|
Answers included in the benchmark | 298 |
Answers marked relevant during screening | 471 |
Answers marked reserved (screening label) | 173 |
Answers marked irrelevant during screening | 329 |
Captured answer observations | 800 |
Distinct questions | 626 |
Answer observations marked as mentioning a brand | 800 |
The source does not provide a reader-facing definition of “reserved”; that screening label is reported without inferring a reason for exclusion. Only the included benchmark answers form the rate denominator.
One answer can mention or recommend several companies. Adding company totals would therefore count some answers more than once. The results describe the AI answers reviewed, not independently verified facts about the companies or their products.
Monthly sample coverage:
Reporting month | Answers included | AI services covered | Services |
|---|---|---|---|
Jul 2026 | 297 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Aug 2026 | 307 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Sep 2026 | 338 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Oct 2026 | 324 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Nov 2026 | 298 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.
This benchmark covers only part of the planned question categories, so findings apply to the available answer set rather than the full topic. The reporting month labels the period, but exact collection dates were not verified.
Each company is counted at most once per qualifying answer, and a recommendation requires both affirmative endorsement and positive wording. Mention, recommendation and placement rates share the full answer total, and placement results sit inside recommendations. The recommendation-to-mention ratio and net framing describe answer wording, not customer satisfaction or company quality.
