Recommendation Placement Snapshot
Coverage alone does not show how prominently a brand is recommended. Among the leading brands, placement rates reveal different strengths.
Brand | Sep 2026 top-three rate | Sep 2026 rank-one rate | Aug 2026 top-three rate | Aug 2026 rank-one rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Charlotte Tilbury | 26.8% | 9.0% | 27.9% | 9.9% |

|---|---|---|---|---|
August 2026 | 675 | Charlotte Tilbury | 51.6% | NARS Cosmetics, Down 5.4 points (Sep 2026) |

Evidence and Source Layer
The benchmark is built from prompt-level observations that retain the query, AI/search surface, answer, brand outcome, recommendation placement, sentiment, and, where exposed, citations or attributable evidence sources. Source presence is evidence about the information environment. It is not automatically proof that the source caused the recommendation.
Scope Boundaries
This public benchmark does not measure:
- Market share or sales attributable to AI recommendations.
- Every possible AI response to a given query.
- Organic-search ranking on traditional search engines.
- Social media mention volume or sentiment outside AI surfaces.
- Private or sponsored channels, including brand-owned assistants.
- Causality from a metric movement alone; the benchmark records changes but does not establish why they occurred.
