Hollywood Feed records the highest net sentiment in the current standings at 0.55, but its recommendation-position metrics remain substantially below the category leaders: 4.3% valid recommendation coverage, a 2.1% top-three rate, and a 1.0% rank-one rate.

Chewy records 25.6% valid recommendation coverage, while Hollywood Feed stands at 4.3%. That recommendation gap matters because Hollywood Feed is entering valid recommendation shortlists considerably less often in the situations measured by this benchmark. The current benchmark does not establish the cause of that gap, making the mechanism behind it the clearest issue requiring investigation.

Highest-priority diagnostic: Which prompts, AI/search surfaces, recommendation positions, or evidence sources are associated with Hollywood Feed's lower valid recommendation coverage relative to the category leader?

How to Read the Standings

  • Presence rate: share of qualified observations where the brand is mentioned at all, in any context.
  • Valid recommendation coverage: share of qualified observations where the brand appears in a valid recommendation shortlist or equivalent.
  • Top-three rate: share of qualified observations where the brand appears in the top three recommended positions.
  • Rank-one rate: share of qualified observations where the brand is the first or primary recommendation.
  • Net sentiment: positive minus negative mention tone, scaled to the number of mentions.

Evidence and Source Layer

The benchmark is built from prompt-level observations that retain the query, AI/search surface, answer, brand outcome, recommendation placement, sentiment, and, where exposed, citations or attributable evidence sources. Source presence is evidence about the information environment. It is not automatically proof that the source caused the recommendation.

Scope Boundaries

This public benchmark does not measure:

  • Market share or attributable sales
  • Every possible AI response across all surfaces and configurations
  • Organic-search ranking performance
  • Social media mention volume
  • Private or sponsored AI channels
  • Causality from a metric movement alone
