Affordable Dentures & Implants led the Dental Implants benchmark in October 2026 with valid recommendation coverage of 25.1%, ahead of Aspen Dental at 22.4% by 2.7 points. Affordable Dentures & Implants posted the second largest prior-month gain, moving from 13.6% in September 2026 to 25.1% in October 2026, up 11.5 points. The largest coverage decline measured against the baseline came from Nuvia Dental Implant Center, which fell from 12.5% in July 2026 to 3.5% in October 2026, down 9.0 points. That decline extended across each of the three months since July 2026. Research Scope and Qualification

Questions This Section Answers

  • How many prompt-surface observations qualified for the dental implant benchmark, and why is the public denominator smaller than the raw collection?
  • Which AI and search surfaces are tracked, and which brands are included in the benchmark?

The public benchmark reports only qualified observations: prompt-level results that clear the benchmark's relevance and eligibility checks before being counted toward brand standings. July 2026 produced 391 qualified observations and October 2026 produced 366, each drawn from the same tracked AI and search surfaces (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode, including their keyword-triggered variants) and the same ten tracked brands.

Recommendation Placement Snapshot

Questions This Section Answers

  • How can two dental implant brands with similar recommendation coverage have very different rank-one rates?
  • Which brand holds the strongest first-position rate among the tracked dental implant brands?

Coverage alone does not show how prominently a brand is recommended. The top-three and rank-one rates reveal whether a brand appears in the most prominent positions when it is recommended, and this placement can differ meaningfully even between brands with similar coverage.

Evidence and Source Layer

The benchmark is built from prompt-level observations that retain the query, AI/search surface, answer, brand outcome, recommendation placement, sentiment, and, where exposed, citations or attributable evidence sources. Source presence is evidence about the information environment, not proof that the source caused the recommendation.

Scope Boundaries

This public benchmark does not measure:

  • Market share or sales attribution
  • Attributable sales or revenue outcomes
  • Every possible AI response, only the sampled surfaces
  • Organic-search ranking or performance
  • Social mention volume or engagement
  • Private or sponsored channels
  • Causality from a metric movement alone

  • Which non-brand source types carry meaningful citation weight in this vertical?

Across all AI platform responses in this measurement period, 8,049 citations were observed across 2,663 unique domains.

Citations are broadly distributed rather than concentrated: the ten most-cited domains together account for roughly one third of citation share, and the single largest domain, google.com, holds 9.1%. Three tracked brands' own domains appear in the top 10, along with nuviasmiles.com at rank 10. Beyond brand-owned sites, the list is dominated by general discovery and video platforms and dental cost and financing resources, indicating that cost-related and community-sourced information carries meaningful citation weight in this vertical.
